According To Buhari, Attempts To Destroy Nigeria Failed.

On Monday in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) stated God had defeated “deliberate plots to destroy Nigeria.”

Buhari also stated that the country had “recovered” from its difficult times, thanking members of the Armed Forces and the Police for their sacrifices in safeguarding the country.

“A intentional attempt was made to destroy Nigeria, but God did not allow it,”
Buhari made the remarks at the palace of Damaturu’s Emir, Hashimi II El-Kanemi.

According to a statement signed by Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The President expressed delight at the restoration of normalcy in Yobe State and Northeast Nigeria, and thanked Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and his Borno State counterpart, Prof Babagana Zulum, for their perseverance in rebuilding schools, health centers, and institutions destroyed by misguided terrorists.

“There was a premeditated plot to destroy Nigeria, but God did not allow it,” he said, adding that “God has helped Nigeria to bounce back.”

He also praised members of the Armed Forces and the Police for their contributions to the country’s security.
The President recalled that those who battled to maintain Nigeria’s unity during the Civil War would never “let anybody to meddle with this country again.”
