Delta State Senator Ned Nwoko has accused certain individuals of subjecting him to persistent cyber harassment. In a statement released Thursday by his media team, the senator warned that he intends to pursue legal action against those responsible.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to the statement, Nwoko claimed that some parties have been engaging in coordinated defamation and cyberstalking, circulating misleading video clips to tarnish his reputation.

“These actions seem designed to fabricate a narrative of persecution for hidden agendas. Senator Nwoko remains focused on his legislative, developmental, and business commitments and has no interest in online distractions or false drama. Nevertheless, serious allegations must be addressed through legal channels, not misinformation or emotional manipulation,” the statement added.

The senator’s team further cautioned that the trend of condoning misconduct, protecting wrongdoers, and exploiting public sympathy poses a threat to societal values.

Senator Nwoko was recently in the headlines over a reported domestic dispute involving his estranged wife, Regina Daniels.

Only 10 Lawmakers Present: APC Alleges Illegality In Zamfara’s 2026 Budget.

Published

on

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration of breaching constitutional procedures during the presentation of the 2026 budget proposal.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to reports, Governor Lawal presented a budget estimate of N861 billion to the Zamfara State House of Assembly on Thursday, earmarking N715 billion for capital expenditure and N147.2 billion for recurrent spending.

In a statement issued in Gusau, APC Publicity Secretary Yusuf Idris alleged that the budget presentation did not meet constitutional requirements. He claimed that, similar to previous years, the proposal was presented without the necessary two-thirds majority of House members required for appropriation bills.

“Governor Lawal has presented his third appropriation bill of over N861 billion to a House that lacks the required quorum. This mirrors the 2024 and 2025 budget processes, which we consider unconstitutional,” Idris said.

He further alleged that lawmakers were deliberately suspended to reduce the number of members available for the session, adding that only 10 members were present to receive the governor and the budget proposal.

The APC urged the Federal Government to intervene, including the potential suspension of federal allocations to the state until the alleged irregularities are addressed.

Nnamdi Kanu Seeks Urgent Transfer From Sokoto Prison Over Appeal Challenges.

Published

on

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has filed a new motion at the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking to be transferred from Sokoto prison. Kanu, who was recently sentenced to life imprisonment on terrorism charges, argued that his current detention could impede his ability to pursue an appeal.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The motion, signed personally by Kanu and presented on Thursday by his younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, states that his detention at Sokoto Correctional Facility, more than 700 kilometres from Abuja, makes exercising his constitutional right to appeal difficult.

Kanu emphasized that as he is currently unrepresented by legal counsel, preparing his notice of appeal and related documents requires direct interaction with the court registry in Abuja. He further noted that all individuals essential to assisting him with his appeal, including family, associates, and legal consultants, are based in the capital.

The IPOB leader maintained that remaining in Sokoto would impose exceptional hardship and potentially obstruct his constitutional right to appeal, contravening Section 36 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

Davido Explodes In Fresh Clash With Sanwo-Olu’s Aide Over Wizkid Hype.

Published

Nigerian music star Davido has engaged in another social media spat with Jubril A. Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, after Gawat made a promotional post about Wizkid’s forthcoming concert.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, the Lagos government aide had shared a poster announcing Wizkid’s December 28 concert at Tafawa Balewa Square, using the caption “Ọmọ Wa ni,” which sparked widespread reactions from fans. One user hailed Wizkid as the “face of Lagos,” a comment Gawat enthusiastically affirmed, adding that the government was proud of the award-winning singer.

The exchange escalated when another fan brought up Davido, prompting Gawat to again express admiration for Wizkid. Davido, who appeared displeased by the remarks, responded with a pointed message urging Gawat to stop holding onto old issues. The singer referenced a previous comment made by the aide, insisting it had been long enough and that he should “grow up.”

Their latest clash adds to a series of confrontations between the two public figures. In September 2024, both men were locked in a tense online argument following the Edo State governorship election. Davido had criticized the electoral commission, describing its actions as dangerous, while Gawat—an APC loyalist—responded in a veiled manner. Davido continued pressing him, bringing up their past encounters involving Governor Sanwo-Olu.
