Tinubu Gets Fresh 2027 Endorsement As Ex-Minister Sambo Backs Second Term.
Former Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, has called on Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu another four years in office, arguing that the administration needs more time to deliver the full benefits of its economic reforms.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Sambo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Taraba State, said the sacrifices Nigerians are currently making amid the rising cost of living would eventually result in economic stability and prosperity.
He made the appeal while speaking with journalists at his country home in Jalingo, where he endorsed Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The former minister, who served as the Taraba State Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 elections, acknowledged the economic difficulties confronting Nigerians but maintained that the government’s policies were necessary to place the country on a path of sustainable growth.
He cautioned against abandoning the reforms midway, insisting that allowing them to continue would improve the country’s chances of achieving economic recovery.
Sambo urged Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying a second term would enable the President to consolidate the gains of his policies.
He said:
“We are not oblivious to the feedback from the common man and the general increase in cost of living. However, we believe that the sacrifices being made today are necessary for enduring economic and financial stability.
“Let us allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu consolidate the path of economic recovery and growth with a second term in office. Nigerians can rest assured that it will get better. I firmly believe that the reforms, coupled with increased spending in infrastructure projects, will ultimately translate into long-term prosperity.”
The APC chieftain also urged party leaders and other supporters of the Tinubu administration to intensify efforts to explain government policies to Nigerians.
He noted that many citizens needed a clearer understanding of the reasons behind the reforms and how they were expected to improve their living conditions over time.
According to Sambo, supporters of the administration must communicate government policies in simple language that ordinary Nigerians can easily understand.
“Undoubtedly, PBAT is working, but we need men and women who will translate the impact of his work into simple terms that the common man on the street can understand. It is high time all of us joined hands with President Tinubu to build our country,” he added.
Sambo also expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects in the 2027 general elections, predicting that the ruling party would record significant victories across the country.
He attributed his optimism to what he described as the expected impact of the administration’s economic policies and infrastructure projects on Nigerians.

‘Atiku Won’t Pick Senate President’ – Dino Melaye Declares.
The Deputy Director-General of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye, has pledged that an administration led by the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would not interfere in the selection of the Senate President or Speaker of the House of Representatives if elected.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Melaye made the declaration during an appearance on Arise Television, where he said the ADC would allow lawmakers to elect their leaders independently.
He maintained that the party was committed to democratic principles and an independent National Assembly.
“To start with, an Atiku presidency will not determine who is going to be the Senate president, the president of the Senate, or the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“Atiku is a Democrat. ADC is a very democratic political party. So we are going to allow the people to elect their leaders,” he said.
Melaye argued that allowing lawmakers to choose their leaders would promote legislative independence and strengthen the National Assembly’s oversight of the executive arm of government.
He said an independent legislature would be better positioned to scrutinise government activities and hold the executive accountable.
“And I told you that wherever you have the members electing their leaders, there is some modicum of independence.
“So to start with, the ADC will make sure that the National Assembly is truly independent, and if the National Assembly is truly independent, that will drive their oversight functions over the Executive,” he said.
Speaking on how government spending would be monitored, the ADC campaign official said relevant National Assembly committees would be empowered to question government officials and examine public expenditure.
He specifically mentioned the Committees on Establishment, Finance, and Budget and Planning as possible channels for investigating government spending and ensuring accountability.
“The Committee on Establishment is responsible for questioning this type of spenders because they have direct oversight function over the State House. The committee on finance is there. The committee on budget and planning is there,” Melaye said.
