News reports that Anuku made the revelation during an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast.

The actor explained that he studied theology at Redemption Camp while living in Lagos, adding that his involvement in ministry was motivated by his love for God and his desire to follow what he believed was divine direction.

Anuku noted that many people were unaware of his religious background but insisted that he still identifies as a pastor.

He further revealed that his ordination took place while his wife was still alive.

The veteran actor challenged those who doubted his claim to seek confirmation from Adeboye, maintaining that the cleric could verify his account.

Speaking during the interview, Anuku said: “Pastor Adeboye conferred me as a pastor when I was young then, I am a pastor but people don’t know I am a pastor. I love God. Go and ask him he will tell you, then my wife was alive.

“I just loved God, when you love God his power is more than yours, He directed me to go there. Without God or prayers where are you going to be standing.”

;Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has dismissed the idea of relocating abroad, describing Nigeria as her home and the country that has shaped her life and career.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Buzz Day, Bello made the remarks during a panel discussion titled “20+ Years in the Media: Real Talk with Kike @7,” where she declared, “America trained me, but Nigeria made me.”

Responding to a question about what could inspire hope among young Nigerians building their careers in the country, the actress said she continued to see opportunities in Nigeria despite the challenges confronting the nation.

She explained that her previous experience living in the United States had not diminished her desire to remain in Nigeria, which she considers home.

Bello said, “I pray I never get the opportunity, as they call it, to go back. Yes, you’ll say because I’ve done it before. I’ve been there before. Yes, I agree with that. But because of the opportunities that I’ve seen in this country, and I am still seeing, I don’t ever want to go back. This is home, this is where it is.”

The actress acknowledged the difficulties many Nigerians face, particularly in the areas of electricity, education and healthcare. However, she encouraged young people to focus on personal development and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

She also advised aspiring professionals to remain authentic and dedicated to their chosen fields, noting that these qualities had helped sustain her career over the years.

According to her, young people should identify their talents, develop their skills and work hard to establish themselves.

She said, “Look within yourself, what do you have to offer? What is in your hands? Whatever it is that is in your hands to offer, study, learn and prove yourself worthy of it.

“For me to be here for so many years, first of all, I have to be authentic to who I am. If you lie, you keep having to remember the lies, if you tell the truth, it’s easy.”

Bello further highlighted the importance of faith in navigating life and pursuing personal ambitions, urging young Nigerians to “hold God tight” as they work towards achieving their goals

‘I Have Never Touched Alcohol’ – Charly Boy Makes Shocking Revelation.

Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has revealed that water is his favourite drink, adding that he has never consumed alcohol in his life.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The veteran entertainer, also known as the Maverick, made the disclosure during an interview with Leadership.

When asked about his favourite drink, Charly Boy said he preferred water, while admitting that he smokes despite abstaining from alcohol.

“Water. I have never taken alcohol. I don’t drink, but I smoke,” he said.

Speaking further, the entertainer urged men to prioritise their health and stop suffering in silence whenever they experience medical challenges.

Charly Boy recalled how he publicly discussed his health struggles after being diagnosed with cancer, stressing that men should not feel pressured to conceal their health conditions to appear strong.

He criticised the belief that men must endure pain without expressing their emotions, describing the mindset as harmful and unnecessary.

“It has become a pandemic. You know how reckless men are now. For a long time, men have borne their pains silently, because ‘men don’t cry’. Men erroneously believe that’s what shows that they are strong. But all of that is nonsense and rubbish,” he said.

The entertainer explained that he had openly discussed his cancer diagnosis on national television rather than pretending to be unaffected by the condition.

“When I was diagnosed with cancer, I went on national TV and announced that my John Thomas had died (laughs). I am not the one to pretend that I am that strong,” he added.

Charly Boy noted that some men were afraid to speak about illnesses affecting their sexual and reproductive health because of embarrassment and societal expectations.

He emphasised that prostate cancer should not be ignored and encouraged men to undergo regular medical check-ups to improve the chances of early detection.

“But prostate cancer isn’t something that kills anybody instantly if you do the right thing by checking yourself up. It is said that prevention is better than cure. From as early as 35-40, you will start checking your prostate for early signs,” he stated.

The entertainer’s comments highlight the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding men’s health and encouraging early medical attention for potentially serious conditions.

Nollywood Actress, Etinosa Idemudia Opens Up About Failed Marriage Trauma.

Published

on

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has revealed that she sought therapy after portraying a character whose experience mirrored the painful realities of her failed marriage.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The actress disclosed this in an interview with The Punch, explaining that taking on the emotionally demanding role affected her mental health more than she had anticipated.

According to Etinosa, acting goes beyond delivering lines and responding to the director’s instructions, as some roles can bring back deeply personal and painful experiences.

She recalled playing a broken wife struggling to conceive in the movie When Tables Turn, describing the experience as particularly difficult because the storyline reflected a painful period in her own marriage.

She said, “Apart from playing a great witch in the ‘Blood of Enogie’ TV series for months, which affected me more deeply than I expected, I also played a broken wife trying to conceive in the movie ‘When Tables Turn’. That really did a number on my mental health because it was my life story; a very painful part of my broken marriage.

“The funny part was that I was the director of the film, so imagine trying to come out of an emotionally challenging scene and the whole set is waiting for you to give directions for the next scene.”

The actress explained that the experience made her realise how deeply actors can become immersed in their characters, sometimes making it difficult to separate fictional experiences from personal emotions.

She said the emotional strain became intense enough for her to seek professional support to help her cope with certain roles.

“It was one of those situations where you realise that acting isn’t always just ‘action’ and ‘cut’. Sometimes, your mind goes somewhere with the character, and you have to consciously find your way back. It was intense enough that I sought therapy to help deal with some characters from time to time,” she added.

Etinosa also recounted how writing the screenplay for her cinema movie, Osato, affected her emotionally.

According to her, there were occasions when she broke down and cried alone in a dark room while writing because she had become deeply connected to the character and could feel her pain.

She explained that embodying the character’s emotions helped her express the story more authentically through her writing.

“Apart from acting, screenwriting also takes me to that realm. I love it and would not ask for any other job,” the actress said.

Etinosa’s revelation highlights the emotional demands of acting and screenwriting, particularly when performers draw from personal experiences to portray difficult situations on screen.
