Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate and professional boxer Mike Edwards has challenged content creator Carter Efe to a boxing showdown.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The challenge comes shortly after Carter Efe defeated singer Speed Darlington in a boxing bout.

Edwards issued the challenge in an Instagram post on Monday, accusing the content creator of repeatedly avoiding a fight with him despite several opportunities to make the matchup happen.

According to the professional boxer, he initially approached Efe before the latter’s first boxing match, advising him to gain experience and secure a victory before they could face each other in a major bout.

Edwards noted that while Efe has now competed in three fights, he has only had one professional bout.

“Quit fighting these bums and accept a real challenge,” Edwards wrote.

The reality star acknowledged that Efe was making money from his boxing appearances but insisted that fans deserved a more competitive matchup.

“Give the people value for their money. You don fight enough now,” he added.

Edwards also disclosed that he had contacted Balmoral Promotions regarding the proposed fight. He explained that he would first compete in Dubai on November 7 before turning his attention to a potential showdown with Efe.

He wrote:

“Now you’re saying you want to fight ‘REAL MEN’ and ‘REAL FIGHTERS’… I’ve been right here the whole time.

“Before your first fight, I told you: go handle business, get the W, then me and you make the SUPER FIGHT.

“I kept the receipts.

“Fast forward – you’ve had 3 fights, I’ve had 1.

“So what’s the excuse now?

“QUIT FIGHTING THESE BUMS AND ACCEPT THE REAL CHALLENGE.

“Look, I understand: get your bag.

“But GIVE THE PEOPLE VALUE FOR THEIR MONEY.

“You don fight enough now.

“I’ve spoken to Dr. @eazy_adamu

“@balmoralpromotions Let’s get this SIGNED, SEALED & DELIVERED.

“I’ll handle my business November 7th in Dubai … then let’s give Nigeria the fight they actually want.

“MACHINE MIKE vs CARTER EFE.

“You say you want a real fighter?

“I’M NOT HARD TO FIND.

“QUIT DUCKING ME.”

“I Can’t Date Nollywood Actresses” – Hanks Anuku Reveals His Reason.

Published

on

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that he would rather date someone outside the Nigerian movie industry than pursue a romantic relationship with a Nollywood actress.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Anuku made this known while speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he discussed his reservations about relationships within the entertainment industry.

The actor said he had become uncomfortable with some of the lifestyle and activities associated with the industry, making him reluctant to date anyone working in the sector.

According to Anuku, the prevalence of flirtation and the changing process through which some people gain entry into Nollywood have made it difficult for him to determine who he can trust when choosing a partner.

The veteran actor also expressed concerns about how individuals now secure opportunities in the movie industry.

He recalled that actors in his early years had to undergo certain screening processes before gaining recognition, but said the situation has changed, with some people now getting opportunities through personal connections with producers.

“I’m not going to go out with anyone in the industry; I would rather go look for a stranger somewhere else. There are certain things in that industry. The flirts are everywhere, and when a woman is a flirt, you’re not sure if she’s clean or not,” Anuku said.

He added, “I thank God I don’t have any disease from whatever it is. It’s a bit too dirty for me now to go out with anyone over there, because everybody can come up and say, ‘I want to be an actress,’ because she knows somebody who is a producer. If a woman is clean, you would know.”

“I Have Never Won AMVCA” – Ramsey Nouah Speaks On His Award Setbacks.

Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has revealed that he has never won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), despite being nominated for the Best Actor category in 2016.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Nouah made the disclosure while speaking on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast.

The veteran actor said he was nominated for Best Actor in 2016 for his role in the movie 76. Other nominees in the category included veteran actors Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, and Olu Jacobs.

According to Nouah, another actor eventually emerged as the winner, defeating all the other nominees in the category.

Recalling the voting process at the time, Nouah explained that the AMVCA was predominantly based on viewers’ votes, unlike the current system, which he said combines public voting with the input of a professional jury.

He noted that the previous voting structure tended to favour actors who had a stronger presence and following on social media.

“I never won an AMVCA. I was nominated for Best Actor in 76 and I lost. At the time, it was predominantly viewers’ choice. Now, you can have the balance of the jury and then the viewers,” Nouah said.

He added, “At that time, it was predominantly viewers, and the guy who was stronger on social media got it over us. The nominees were myself, RMD, Uncle Olu Jacobs, and the guy won over every one of us.”
