Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Adeyeye drew a historical parallel to the 1999 presidential election, pointing out that former President Olusegun Obasanjo clinched the presidency despite losing his polling unit, ward, state, and entire geopolitical zone.
“No Easy Path for Opposition”
Dismissing expectations that the upcoming polls would be straightforward for rival parties, Adeyeye warned that anyone anticipating an easy victory was “suffering from self-delusion.”
