“Political Earthquake! Okorocha Dragging INEC To Court Over Uzodimma’s Senate Ambition!”.
Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has instituted a legal action at the Federal High Court in Abuja to contest the Independent National Electoral Commission’s decision to list Governor Hope Uzodimma as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District ahead of the upcoming general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Court documents filed by Okorocha’s legal representative list both Uzodimma and the political party as defendants in the suit. The former governor, who previously represented the district, is challenging the outcome of the party’s primary election, questioning the validity of the reported vote tallies and the legality of recognizing the incumbent governor as the winner.
Furthermore, the legal challenge brings constitutional scrutiny regarding a sitting governor holding or running for concurrent legislative positions before the expiration of an executive term. Okorocha is asking the judiciary to nullify the commission’s publication of Uzodimma’s candidacy, command official recognition of his own nomination instead, and restrain the defendants from presenting Uzodimma as the party’s flagbearer for the seat.

Moffi spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto, netting once across nine league appearances. Porto opted against a permanent acquisition after Nice maintained their eight million euro valuation.
Having initially joined Nice on loan from Lorient in January 2023 before making the transfer permanent later that year, Moffi has accumulated 24 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions for the club. However, his tenure in France faced turbulence last November when he and several teammates were accosted by supporters after stepping off the team bus following a defeat away to Lorient. The incident prompted a week of sick leave before Moffi secured his temporary switch to Porto.
