Nigerian striker Terem Moffi is on the verge of a transfer to Bundesliga side Hamburg, following OGC Nice’s acceptance of an undisclosed bid for the 27-year-old forward, as reported by the French publication Nice-Matin. Moffi spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto, netting once across nine league appearances. Porto opted against a permanent acquisition after Nice maintained their eight million euro valuation.

Having initially joined Nice on loan from Lorient in January 2023 before making the transfer permanent later that year, Moffi has accumulated 24 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions for the club. However, his tenure in France faced turbulence last November when he and several teammates were accosted by supporters after stepping off the team bus following a defeat away to Lorient. The incident prompted a week of sick leave before Moffi secured his temporary switch to Porto.
