The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2027 presidential hopeful Atiku Abubakar following his claims that ₦12.8 trillion was secretly hidden within the Service-Wide Vote (SWV) of the 2026 budget. In response, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka took to social media to refute the claims, explaining that the Service-Wide Vote is a legitimate, long-standing budgeting tool used globally to handle unexpected expenses and government-wide costs that surface after the annual budget is enacted. Morka dismissed Atiku’s assertions, calling them reckless and accusing the former Vice President of showing a fundamental misunderstanding of public finance.

The APC further blasted Atiku, suggesting that his criticism is an attempt to deflect from his own history in public office and lecture a successful administration on financial transparency.
