  • Zamfara State Operations:

    • Troops in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area (LGA) utilized intelligence to thwart an impending attack, engaging terrorists in a fierce gun battle and forcing them to retreat with casualties.

    • During a separate response to an attack on farmers near Dogon Kade, troops killed Alhaji Tukur, a notorious terrorist commander and younger brother to the kingpin Alhaji Shehu Bagiwaye.

    • In the Sabon Gari area of Kaura Namoda LGA, troops neutralized one terrorist and recovered a motorcycle after the attackers fled into the bush upon being sighted.

  • Katsina State Operations:

    • Along the Danmusa–Yantumaki axis, troops overwhelmed a group of terrorists, forcing them to flee and subsequently recovering two AK-47 rifles, two magazines with 25 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle.

  • Air Component Intervention:

    • The Nigerian Air Force intercepted a large convoy of approximately 300 terrorists on motorcycles traveling from the Sunke-Kumbo axis toward Gummi.

    • Utilizing precision airstrikes, the air component neutralized the terrorists, effectively degrading their capabilities and preventing the planned attack.

Operation Fansan Yamma reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining offensive operations to protect civilians, secure livelihoods, and restore peace to the North-West region.
