Slain ISIS Commander Al-Minuki: Key Facts You Need To Know About The Terror Figure.
Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, a Nigeria-born ISIS commander described by United States President Donald Trump as the “most active terrorist in the world,” has come under global spotlight following reports of his death in a joint counterterrorism operation involving American and Nigerian forces.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Reports indicate that Trump announced on Friday that al-Minuki was eliminated during a coordinated mission carried out by US forces in collaboration with the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
Things To Know About The Terrorist
US sanctions records identify him as Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali al-Mainuki, with Abu Bilal al-Minuki listed among his known aliases.
He was reportedly born in 1982 in Mainok, near Benisheikh in Borno State, a region heavily affected by Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgency activities.
The US State Department designated al-Minuki as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist in June 2023, a move that froze any assets linked to him under US jurisdiction and prohibited American entities from engaging in any transactions with him.
According to Daily Trust, security analysts believe he rose to prominence within ISWAP following the death of Mamman Nur in 2018.
He was allegedly involved in ISIS-linked financial networks, recruitment operations, and strategic planning across parts of West Africa.
President Trump described al-Minuki as one of ISIS’s most dangerous leaders, stating that his elimination would significantly weaken the group’s international operations.
He also said militants would no longer “terrorise the people of Africa” or support attacks targeting American interests.
There has also been some confusion regarding the spelling of his name, with different reports referring to him as Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, while US sanctions documents list him as Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali al-Mainuki, with Abu Bilal al-Minuki noted as an alias.
Security experts suggest his death could disrupt ISIS financing, recruitment, and operational planning in West Africa, though they caution that such groups often replace leaders quickly.
They added that the long-term impact will depend on sustained military pressure and intelligence operations targeting extremist networks.

Sports Manchester City Beat Chelsea To Lift FA Cup At Wembley
Manchester City clinched the 2025-2026 FA Cup title after edging Chelsea 1-0 in a tense final at Wembley Stadium, with Antoine Semenyo’s decisive strike proving the difference.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a closely contested match that produced limited clear-cut opportunities, Semenyo delivered the breakthrough in the 72nd minute, calmly finishing from close range after a well-worked assist from Erling Haaland.
The victory marked Pep Guardiola’s 20th trophy as Manchester City manager and secured the club’s eighth FA Cup crown.
It also kept City’s hopes of a domestic double alive, with the Premier League title still within reach.
City had earlier believed they had taken the lead in the first half when Haaland found the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Chelsea responded with periods of pressure and dangerous deliveries into the box but struggled to seriously trouble City’s defence.
The London side started the second half with renewed intensity, and Enzo Fernández came closest when he met a loose ball inside the six-yard area, only to send his effort over the bar.
With chances limited and tension building, Semenyo eventually broke the deadlock when Haaland threaded a clever pass into the box, allowing the forward to produce a composed finish beyond Robert Sánchez.
Chelsea pushed for an equaliser late on but failed to find a way through as Manchester City held firm to seal their second trophy of the season, following their earlier Carabao Cup success.
