Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has cautioned intending pilgrims from the state against any form of misconduct during their stay in the Holy Land, urging them to serve as responsible ambassadors of Kano State and Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Yusuf issued the warning while addressing the first batch of 560 pilgrims scheduled to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

In a statement released on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, the governor advised the pilgrims to fear God and maintain exemplary behaviour throughout the pilgrimage.

He expressed confidence that the pilgrims would conduct themselves properly, noting that the state government had already made adequate arrangements for their welfare.

Governor Yusuf also revealed that medical teams had been deployed and healthcare support provided to cater for any pilgrim who may fall ill during the exercise.

He added that all logistics had been put in place both in Kano and in the Holy Land to ensure a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation.

The governor further announced the appointment of the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, as the state’s Amirul Hajj, while the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz, will serve as his deputy.
