El-Rufai Accuses ICPC Of Repeatedly Violating His Father’s Rights.

Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has called for full respect of his father’s constitutional rights, accusing the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) of violating them.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

El-Rufai, who represents Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, made the allegation in a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, claiming the family witnessed two separate incidents they considered violations of due process.

He alleged that his father’s personal doctor visited the ICPC around 3pm to review recent medical test results but was denied access by officials, who reportedly insisted on written approval from the ICPC Chairman.

According to him, this action contradicted a court order granting unrestricted access between his father and his doctors.

He also claimed that his father’s wife, Aisha El-Rufai, was turned away around 7pm while attempting to deliver his evening meal, with officials allegedly citing an internal rule restricting food deliveries after 6:30pm.

El-Rufai described both incidents as breaches of the rule of law and violations of fundamental human rights, arguing that no lawful detention should restrict access to medical care or basic family support.

He insisted that all constitutional protections must be fully upheld and rejected what he described as intimidation disguised as procedural protocol.

The lawmaker further urged the ICPC to comply strictly with the laws it is mandated to enforce.
