Utaka Sends Strong Transfer Message To Osimhen Amid Real Madrid Interest

Published

on

Former Super Eagles winger John Utaka has advised Victor Osimhen to consider a move to Real Madrid if José Mourinho is appointed as manager of the Spanish giants and expresses interest in signing the Nigerian striker.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Osimhen is currently completing his second season at Galatasaray, where he played a crucial role in securing the club’s 26th league title.

The Nigerian forward has been in impressive form this season, recording 15 goals and five assists in 22 league appearances, further strengthening his status as one of Europe’s most in-demand strikers.

Transfer rumours surrounding the 25-year-old have remained constant over the past three summer windows, with several top clubs monitoring his situation.

Recent reports from Spain suggest that Mourinho, who is currently managing Benfica, is in discussions with Real Madrid over a possible return to the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Portuguese tactician is being considered as a potential option to stabilise the team following a challenging campaign under Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa.

A possible squad overhaul at Madrid could open the door for a new striker signing, with Utaka backing Osimhen as an ideal fit for Mourinho’s system.

“If I were Osimhen, I would go because if Mourinho has requested him, it means he really wants him. Osimhen wants to win trophies and Real Madrid is a perfect fit,” Utaka said via Brila.

Mourinho has followed Osimhen’s development closely for years, having faced him in Serie A during his time at AS Roma while Osimhen played for Napoli. The Portuguese coach has previously compared him to Didier Drogba, although he has also publicly criticised aspects of his play.

Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, with Barcelona also reportedly interested in securing his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Catalan club are said to view him as an alternative to Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, who carries a valuation of around €200 million.

Galatasaray, however, are reluctant to sell and are believed to have placed a €150 million price tag on the Nigerian striker amid growing transfer interest.

‘You Lied’ – El-Rufai Denies Abusing Medical Visit, Demands ICPC Retraction.

Published

on

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has formally rejected claims by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) that he misused a court-approved medical visit while in detention, characterizing the agency’s account as a misrepresentation of both law and fact. Through his media adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye, the former governor has called for the immediate release of his personal physician, Professor Bello Abubakar, and requested that the ICPC retract its allegations regarding the violation of a court order.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

  • Medical Justification: El-Rufai’s representatives state that his inability to attend court on July 6 resulted from ongoing health issues that were communicated to the ICPC beforehand. They further assert that his personal doctor had been previously denied access to him at the commission’s facility, contradicting claims that the medical visit was a ploy to avoid court proceedings.

  • Interpretation of Court Orders: Adekeye disputed the ICPC’s allegation that a court order was breached, arguing that the April 1, 2026, order by Justice R.M. Aikawa grants El-Rufai the right to medical care without placing restrictions on visitors during those sessions.

  • Rejection of Political Claims: The former governor’s camp dismissed the description of the hospital visit as a political meeting, noting that it was the ICPC that rescheduled the appointment to a busier morning time slot and that commission staff were present throughout the duration of the visit.

  • Legal Rights and Compliance: El-Rufai’s team emphasized that medical access is a legal right, supported by the Nelson Mandela Rules and the existing court order. They warned that further efforts by the ICPC to restrict his access to family, legal counsel, or medical care could constitute contempt of court.
