Atiku Is Not A Foolish Old Man — Momodu Fires Back Over Obi-Kwankwaso Alliance Rumours.

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has dismissed the growing talk of a possible Peter Obi–Rabiu Kwankwaso political alliance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television, Momodu maintained that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar cannot be pressured or pushed out of the presidential race.

According to him, Atiku remains fully committed to his political ambitions and will not be forced to step aside for anyone.

“This campaign against Atiku is well-coordinated. He’s not a foolish old man; he knows that what he has built delicately, meticulously, and tenaciously, he will see it to the end. That is his business. You cannot bully him out of a contest; it is his right,” Momodu said, adding that Atiku has not violated any constitutional provisions.

He questioned the repeated calls for Atiku to withdraw in favour of Peter Obi, recalling that Atiku had earlier chosen Obi as his running mate in the 2019 presidential election, which they ultimately lost.

“Why can’t Obi be his Vice President? He brought Obi as VP running mate in 2019; they did not win. So why the hurry that it must be only Obi?” he asked.

Momodu also commented on Peter Obi’s rising popularity among young Nigerians, warning against elevating any single politician as a “saviour” of the country.

He argued that Nigeria has many capable leaders and urged citizens to evaluate all aspirants fairly.

“I still don’t understand why everybody is acting like we have a Jesus Christ in our hands… Go and check the records of each and every one of the aspirants in the ADC,” he said.

Rejecting suggestions that Atiku should step down for Obi, Momodu described such calls as disrespectful, insisting that Atiku’s long political history makes him a legitimate contender in the race.

“I will support my Atiku. You are disrespecting people by even suggesting that he should step down for Obi; it’s an insult,” he added.
