ADC Breaks Silence On Obi, Kwankwaso Pullout, Calls It Temporary Setback.

recalls that Obi and Kwankwaso recently left the ADC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), citing internal political disputes and ongoing court cases as reasons for their defection.
Speaking on Wednesday during an appearance on ARISE Television’s Morning Show, Abdullahi said the party had already moved beyond their exit.
He insisted that the ADC remains focused on its core mission of addressing what it described as worsening governance in the country while promoting a stronger multi-party democratic system.
According to him, “Peter Obi and Kwankwaso moving from the ADC was a glitch. We have moved on from it.
“We have stabilised and moved forward because the objective remains the same, stopping the steady deterioration of governance in the country and strengthening multi-party democracy.
“While some have moved to other parties and others remain in ADC, the broader vision of building a strong opposition coalition is still very much alive within the current political dynamics.”
Meanwhile, the lawmaker representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chinedu Obika, said his decision to align with the NDC was influenced by Peter Obi’s political direction.
Obika, who was elected in 2023 on the platform of the Labour Party, explained that he remained with the party throughout its prolonged internal crisis because of his loyalty to Obi and confidence in his leadership.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the federal lawmaker defended his recent political shift and called on opposition figures to unite ahead of future elections.

Reports indicate that he made the disclosure during an interview with Chude, where he spoke about his views on relationships and his approach to meeting and understanding women.
The singer explained that he often pays attention to a woman’s upbringing, particularly whether she grew up with her father present in the home, saying it is one of the factors he considers when getting to know someone.
According to him, the presence of a father during childhood can significantly influence how relationships develop later in life, and this belief shapes some of the questions he asks women he meets.
Chike added that one of his early questions in conversations with women often relates to their relationship with their father.
In his words, he said he is not planning to walk down the aisle anytime soon but already knows he wants a daughter. He also explained that he believes women who grow up without a father figure may sometimes experience challenges in their romantic relationships, which is why he tends to ask about it early on.
His comments come amid ongoing online discussions linking him to rumours involving media personality Frank Edoho and his former wife, Sandra Onyenucheya.

Ikonne made the statement during a media interactive session in Abuja on Thursday while reacting to a pledge by Labour Party presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, to serve just one term if elected.
He dismissed the promise, arguing that when it is finally the turn of the South East to produce a president, it should be for the standard two-term tenure of eight years, like other geopolitical zones in the country.
According to him, political stakeholders in the South East, including governors such as Abia State Governor Alex Otti, are supporting the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Ikonne claimed that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has also established a mobilisation team tasked with sensitising Igbo communities nationwide to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, including door-to-door and market-to-market campaigns.
He insisted that the expected votes for Tinubu in 2027 would come from Igbo populations across the country, not just those in the South East region.
The APC aspirant further argued that the idea of a one-term presidency for the South East is not acceptable, stating that such an arrangement would shortchange the region. He maintained that when the opportunity arises, the Igbo presidency should last the full eight-year cycle.
He also criticized Obi’s four-year promise, questioning its practicality and suggesting that it would waste time in governance processes.
