“You Will Pay For It” — Joe Igbokwe Fires Fiery Warning To Tinubu’s Opponents.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has issued a strong warning to opposition figures seeking to block President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying those determined to frustrate the President’s political future would face consequences.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that Igbokwe made the statement on Tuesday in a post shared on his Facebook page, where he stressed that Tinubu was elected to transform Nigeria, not to maintain the status quo.

According to him, Nigerians voted for President Tinubu to rebuild and reposition the country, and his administration must be allowed to carry out that mandate.

“We voted for PBAT to come and retool and rework Nigeria. We did not vote for him to come to play or continue business as usual,” he wrote.

“No Sir. We have to push this country to rise and work again. If you adamantly stand in the way, you will pay for it.”

Igbokwe’s remarks come amid growing political debate over strategies ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reportedly advised opposition parties against zoning the 2027 presidential ticket to the South, arguing that such a move could make it easier for Tinubu, a Southern incumbent, to secure another term.

In a statement from his camp, Atiku argued that fielding another Southern candidate against a sitting Southern president may not be politically strategic and lacks precedent in Nigeria’s democratic history.

He maintained that opposition parties should instead prioritise building a strong coalition capable of unseating the incumbent, rather than relying on what his camp described as symbolic or emotional political calculations.

Atiku’s position also questioned the practicality of a Southern opposition candidate defeating a Southern president already in office.

  • Legal Defense: Adeniyi Adeyemi, who identifies as the Director-General of the PFIPC, has denied accusations of forgery and impersonation. He stated he is prepared to defend himself in a court of competent jurisdiction to clear his name.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

    • Government Stance: The Presidency has labeled the PFIPC a “fictitious” organization, with spokesperson Bayo Onanuga describing Adeyemi as a “con artist” who used forged documents to impersonate a government official. Police investigations have reportedly led to an eight-count charge of forgery, impersonation, and fraud filed against Adeyemi and two associates at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

    • Adeyemi’s Allegations: Adeyemi denies all wrongdoing and claims his legal troubles stem from a dispute with the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. He alleged that the disagreement began after he refused a request from the Chief of Staff for a 48 per cent share of the agency’s ₦27.39 billion take-off grant. He further claimed that ₦400 million was collected by proxy and demanded an independent investigation by President Bola Tinubu.

    • Budgetary Discrepancies: The controversy is compounded by the appearance of the organization in the 2026 Appropriation Bill, which listed an allocation of ₦1.303 billion for the entity.

    • Procedural Details: While the Presidency maintains that the agency does not exist and alleges that Adeyemi attempted to use fraudulent documents to open bank accounts, they noted that no government funds were successfully transferred into those accounts. The case is scheduled to proceed in the Federal High Court in Abuja on July 27.
