Meanwhile, in a separate development, Nigerian singer Mr Eazi has explained why he avoids listening to Burna Boy’s music, saying he wants to protect the originality of his own sound.

According to him, Burna Boy’s distinctive style is powerful enough to subtly shape his approach to recording without him realising it.

Mr Eazi added that he prefers to safeguard his musical identity by limiting exposure to Burna Boy’s catalogue, so as not to drift away from the unique sound that defines his brand.

He said, “I don’t like listening to Burna Boy’s songs. I’ve said it before, I don’t want my music to start sounding like his. I don’t want my sound to drift.”

Despite this, both artistes have worked together in the past on the track Miss You Bad from Mr Eazi’s 2018 project Life Is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos To London.
