Reports indicate that Shaggi recounted the incident in a video shared on his YouTube channel, revealing that it occurred on March 9, 2026, during a brand activation outing.

According to the entertainer, he and his team had completed the event and were preparing to leave when he was suddenly hit by a stray bullet.

Describing the incident as terrifying, Shaggi disclosed that he lost consciousness before arriving at the hospital, leaving him uncertain about whether he would survive.

He also recalled that his condition became so serious that medical personnel considered transferring him to another hospital. However, doctors at the second facility promptly attended to him and took him to the emergency room, where he began to feel reassured about his chances of survival.

Recounting the experience, he said, “It was just a normal day, a day I will go out for any brand activation, until the devil decided to show up. We were done with the activation, we were already leaving, and all of a sudden, I heard a loud bang, it was just total silence in the car, and then I touched my hip and saw blood, that’s when it dawned on me that I have been hit by a stray bullet.

“It was a crazy day, I was unconscious till we got to the hospital. All that was in my mind was just to survive, I didn’t want to die.

“It got to that point where they said they had to take me to another hospital, I was sweating, holding my leg; I was seeing blood, I just wanted to hear a doctor telling me, ‘Samuel, you’ll be fine’.

“We got to the other hospital, they were swift, put me in the emergency room. By that time, my mind was settled and that I was going to make it through this moment.”

Shaggi further explained that the seriousness of the incident dawned on him when he realised he could no longer move his leg. The development also raised concerns about his ability to continue performing the energetic routines associated with his comedy character.

He said, “Minutes later, everything was calmed, but then I could not move my leg, that was when it dawned on me that what happened could change everything.

“I was worried how do I do ‘Oya hit me’ without my leg.”

The comedian disclosed that although the pain had reduced by the following morning, he began to experience the emotional effects of the incident and questioned why it had happened to him.

He eventually tried to find comfort in the experience, suggesting that it might have forced him to take a much-needed break after years of working without adequate rest.

According to him, “When I woke up the next day, the pain had reduced, but emotions started kicking in, I started asking myself ‘Why me?’

“Then I started thinking this was intentional for me to rest, because since 2018 I never rest. So I consoled myself with that.”

The entertainer also revealed that he travelled to Dubai for surgery, after which he regained the ability to walk and stand independently.

Speaking about his recovery, Shaggi expressed gratitude that the incident had not resulted in more severe consequences, although he admitted that he was yet to recover completely.

He said, “Throughout this period, one thing I keep saying is that I am grateful because it could have been worse. It is a new reality, and I have not fully recovered yet. I am still using my crutches for now. There was a time when I could not move or even put both feet on the ground without the crutches. But now, I can walk and stand on my own without them, although I still need to use the crutches for support.”

According to Dikeh, her spiritual journey started at an early age, and she was close to becoming a pastor when she was just 17 years old.

She clarified that her recent expressions of faith should not be mistaken for a newly discovered relationship with God, insisting that her connection with Christ had existed for years.

Speaking during the interview, Dikeh said: “Everything I said God told me, he told me in private, there’s a misconception about when I gave my life to Christ. I’ve always been with Christ, to the point where I was going to be ordained a pastor at 17 years old.”

Nigerian music star Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has revealed why he avoids flaunting his wealth and accomplishments on social media, explaining that he does not want young people to feel pressured by his success.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Afrobeats singer made this known during an interview with Jam FM, where he discussed his awareness of the influence he has on young people who look up to him.

The 26-year-old artiste noted that many young people, including his fans, see him as a source of inspiration and aspire to achieve similar levels of success.

However, Rema explained that constantly displaying his wealth could make some of them feel inadequate or believe they were falling behind in life.

He said he is conscious of how people perceive his lifestyle, particularly those still working towards their personal and professional ambitions.

The singer stressed that he does not want anyone to compare their progress with his or feel compelled to achieve certain milestones within a specific timeframe.

Speaking during the interview, Rema said many young people admire him because he represents something they hope to accomplish, adding that he tries not to make anyone feel inferior or pressured by his achievements.

He explained that people sometimes rush their own journeys after seeing others of the same age making progress, which can create unnecessary anxiety and unrealistic expectations.

According to the singer, although some people have advised him not to worry about how his lifestyle might affect others, he remains concerned that displaying his riches could be misunderstood.

Rema also highlighted the role parents play in putting young people under pressure by comparing them with others and forcing them to pursue careers they may not genuinely desire.

He noted that some children end up studying courses they have little interest in simply because their parents want them to secure well-paying jobs.

The singer said he wants young people to pursue their ambitions at their own pace rather than feel compelled to rush their lives because of his achievements.

Explaining his preference for a simple lifestyle, Rema said he enjoys wearing streetwear and does not frequently wear expensive designer outfits.

He added that his chains and wristwatches are perhaps the most extravagant aspects of his appearance.

“I have something they want or dream of, so I do my best not to make anyone feel bad about themselves or feel pressured,” the singer said.

According to reports, the entertainer shared his views during a TikTok livestream, where he argued that inter-ethnic relationships could provide a different experience and expose couples to new cultural perspectives.

Peller suggested that Yoruba people who marry fellow Yoruba individuals, as well as Igbo people who choose partners from their own ethnic group, could be missing out on the advantages of relationships with people from different backgrounds.

Speaking during the livestream, he said people from the same ethnic group often share similar cultural experiences, beliefs and ways of thinking.

“If you are a Yoruba and want to marry a Yoruba in 2026, bro, your life is finish. And if you are Igbo, you want to marry Igbo, your life is finish,” Peller said.

He further argued that marrying someone from a different ethnic group could introduce a person to new perspectives and experiences.

“Me, wey go marry my Benin girl, na no know say I get wetin I dey think. I no fit marry my Yoruba girl, God forbid,” he added.

Peller maintained that his position would remain unchanged even if he were offered an incentive to marry within his ethnic group.

“If dem tell us say I pay now, you can plus one, bro, I no go still even marry my Yoruba girl. Na fact I dey tell you,” he said.

Reflecting on his family background, the streamer noted that both his parents are Yoruba, adding that his personal experiences had influenced his views on marrying outside one’s ethnic group.
