reports that the announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. According to the statement, Ogbara-Banjoko will serve as Lagos State’s representative on the board, replacing Bamidele Hussein. President Tinubu had earlier inaugurated the board of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange in April, appointing Dalhatu Abubakar as chairman alongside other non-executive directors. The presidency noted that the new appointee is expected to bring her professional experience to strengthen the operations of the Exchange. Tinubu also urged her to support the Federal Government’s efforts to expand commodity trading, improve market access for farmers and investors, and drive economic growth. The statement added that Ogbara-Banjoko’s appointment takes immediate effect as she assumes her role on the board.
