Speaking on a recent episode of the Great Day 20 Podcast, Gold said both he and his wife, singer Simi, come from strong musical backgrounds, and their daughter appears to be following the same path.

“It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said.

The singer noted that Adejare’s interest in music has become increasingly noticeable, adding that she could eventually pursue a career in the industry.

During the interview, Adekunle Gold also dismissed rumours circulating online that he and his wife had welcomed twins.

He clarified that the couple recently welcomed only a baby boy, describing the reports of twins as false.

“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he said.

Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in a private ceremony in January 2019, and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.

reports that the meeting came less than 48 hours after Jonathan revealed he was consulting widely over a possible return to the presidential race in 2027.

Jonathan had made the comments on Thursday while speaking to a group of Nigerians who visited him at his office in Abuja to urge him to contest the next presidential election.

During the engagement, the former president said the decision to run for office was not one to be taken lightly, stressing the need for broad consultations before making any commitment.

“You are asking me to come and contest the next election. The presidential race is not a computer game. But I’ve heard you, and I’ll consult widely,” he said.
