“I Feel Sorry For Chelsea Fans” — Pedro Slams Blues After Another EPL Setback.

Published

on

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has voiced his frustration following the Blues’ disappointing 3-1 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Monday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Pedro, who scored Chelsea’s only goal of the night, admitted the team fell far below expectations and said the players must accept full responsibility for the poor performance.

The Brazilian acknowledged that Chelsea’s display was simply not good enough and expressed sympathy for supporters who endured another frustrating home defeat.

reports that Nottingham Forest sealed an impressive victory in London thanks to a brace from Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi, while Igor Jesus also found the net to complete a dominant away performance.

Awoniyi’s double gave Forest firm control of the contest before Igor Jesus added further damage, ensuring the visitors left Stamford Bridge with all three points.

Pedro’s goal provided Chelsea with brief hope, but it ultimately proved insufficient to prevent another setback for the struggling Blues.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Pedro called for honest self-reflection within the squad, insisting that every player, including himself, must examine their contribution.

“Everyone needs to have a look at themselves, me included,” he said.

He also apologized to Chelsea supporters, saying, “I feel sorry for the fans.”

Despite the defeat, Pedro’s strike against Nottingham Forest marked his 15th Premier League goal of the season for Chelsea, excluding penalties.

While the personal milestone highlighted his attacking importance, the Brazilian appeared more focused on the team’s collective failure and the disappointment suffered by fans.

Chelsea will now shift focus to their next Premier League challenge against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, where they will hope to bounce back quickly and revive their league campaign.
