The incident reportedly occurred while Wumi was greeting fellow actresses Ini Edo and Eniola Ajao. During the interaction, Enioluwa approached to greet her and mentioned her name, prompting an immediate reaction from the actress, who pushed him slightly aside and questioned his choice of words.

Enioluwa quickly attempted to defuse the situation, explaining that he had addressed her respectfully by saying “Aunty Wumi” while greeting her. However, Wumi insisted that she expected a more respectful approach, stressing that there should be clear regard for seniority.

As he moved in to greet her, Enioluwa reportedly said, “Wumi, how are you?” while trying to hug her.

In response, the actress fired back, “Are you insane? Did you just call my name? How dare you call me by my name?”

He immediately clarified, saying, “No, no, I didn’t say that. I said ‘Aunty Wumi, how are you?’”

Following the incident, Wumi also addressed comments about her age on her Instagram story. She noted that her youthful appearance often leads to misconceptions, adding that she completed secondary school in 2003 and urged critics to do the math to better understand her age.

Popular filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has denied allegations that she snubbed Fuji musician Wasiu Pasuma at a recent public event, describing the viral claims as misleading.

The controversy began after a video posted on showed what appeared to be Akindele walking past Pasuma during a crowded indoor gathering. The clip was captioned, “Moment Funke Akindele snubbed Pasuma in public. This is not looking good at all,” and quickly spread online.

Reacting on Sunday, Akindele dismissed the narrative, insisting there was no disrespect involved in her interaction with the Fuji star.

“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.

Although the viral clip showed a brief moment where Pasuma was seated and appeared focused on his phone, a longer version of the video told a different story.

In the extended footage, Akindele was seen warmly greeting Pasuma, exchanging smiles, and interacting with him before moving on to other guests.

The event, held in honour of actress Fathia Balogun, had several celebrities in attendance, including TikTok personality Ashabi Olose.

Other clips from the gathering also showed Akindele engaging freely with guests throughout the occasion.

Supporters of the actress later shared the full video online, arguing that the initial clip was selectively edited to create a misleading impression.

The clarification comes weeks after another viral incident involving Akindele and actress Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere, which also generated online discussion.
