“I Know Why They’re After Me” – Trump Makes Explosive Assassination Claim.

United States President Donald Trump has explained why he believes he has been the target of repeated assassination threats.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made the remarks while reacting to a shooting incident that interrupted a media event in Washington.

The incident occurred on April 25, 2026, during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton, when a gunman caused panic, prompting swift intervention by security and forcing the event to end abruptly.

Speaking after the situation was contained, Trump suggested that individuals who bring about significant change often become targets.

He connected the incident to his time in office, noting that many of his policies and decisions have had major impacts, which not everyone supports. He also drew parallels with historical figures who were attacked due to their influence.

The president referenced his own past experience, including surviving an assassination attempt during a 2024 campaign rally. Despite the dangers associated with his position, he said he continues to live without fear and does not consider himself shaken by such threats.

“I’ve studied assassinations. The people who make the biggest impact are usually the ones targeted. I wouldn’t say I’m honoured, but we’ve made major changes in this country, and not everyone is pleased. Still, I live a fairly normal life, even though it can be dangerous. I’m not shaken by it,” he said.

ADC, PDP, LP Pull Out Of Alliance, Declare Solo Fight Against Tinubu.

Factions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party (AP), and Labour Party (LP) have distanced themselves from the opposition summit held in Ibadan.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The summit, reportedly attended by elements of the ADC, a PDP faction loyal to Governor Seyi Makinde, and other opposition figures, followed months of internal disputes and ongoing court battles.

However, several party factions told Punch that the gathering does not reflect their official position and reaffirmed their resolve to field separate candidates against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The PDP National Working Committee, aligned with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accused key opposition figures—including Atiku Abubakar, David Mark, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Peter Obi—of being misled by “impostors” behind the summit.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, dismissed the legitimacy of those who attended in the party’s name, insisting they are not recognised representatives and are restricted by court orders.

He stressed that the PDP had not entered into any coalition or alliance with any political party and rejected claims that it was involved in the Ibadan meeting, adding that legitimate leadership was not consulted.

Similarly, different ADC factions led by Dumebi Kachikwu, Kingsley Ogga, and Nafiu Gombe all denied participation, insisting the party remains focused on resolving its internal crisis rather than forming alliances.

The Labour Party, through Interim National Chairman Nenadi Usman, also disowned the summit and its resolutions, including the reported plan to present a single opposition presidential candidate in 2027.

The Accord Party further warned that it may take legal action against individuals falsely claiming to represent it at the meeting.

ADC leaders maintained that the party would pursue its own candidates across all elective positions, describing the Ibadan gathering as an unrepresentative reunion of disgruntled politicians rather than a true opposition coalition.

Lai Mohammed Fires Back At CNN Over EndSARS Narrative.

Former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said the #EndSARS protest was taken over by individuals with hidden agendas.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made the statement at a high-level forum held at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) over the weekend.

According to him, the protest began as a genuine outcry against police brutality but was later derailed by actors with ulterior motives.

Mohammed argued that the situation worsened due to the widespread circulation of misinformation across both traditional and digital media, especially after military deployment to the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.

He specifically criticised CNN, alleging that its coverage relied on unverified and allegedly manipulated content, which he said fuelled global tension and distorted the reality on the ground.

“The problem we had was not the usual communication gap between the government and the citizens. It was fake news and disinformation, coupled with unbridled violence,” he stated.

Reflecting on other national issues, Mohammed highlighted Nigeria’s communication response during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying a coordinated strategy and daily briefings helped secure strong public approval.

He also recalled a media tour to the North-East, where he led journalists to areas previously controlled by Boko Haram, describing it as a key moment in countering insurgent propaganda.

On the suspension of Twitter during his tenure, he explained that it was a deliberate move aimed at curbing harmful content after failed attempts to get the platform to cooperate with government concerns.

Mohammed further noted that his ministry introduced town hall meetings nationwide to improve public engagement and bridge communication gaps across regions.

He added that he inherited a lack of structured communication strategy and had to build a proactive system combining traditional and digital media to ensure effective two-way communication.
