CNS To Naval Personnel: Don’t Be Distracted By Operational Challenges, Stay Focused And Combat Ready.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, has cautioned officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy against being distracted or overwhelmed by recent operational challenges facing the military across various theatres.

He gave the charge during the first quarter route march held for naval personnel in Abuja on Saturday.

The Nation reports that the armed forces have recently recorded some operational setbacks, including attacks on personnel by terrorists in the North-East theatre of Operation.

Represented by the Director of Mining, Rear Admiral Kolawole Oguntuga, the CNS urged personnel not to allow the sacrifices of fallen heroes to be in vain.

He said despite challenges across different operational theatres, personnel must remain focused and avoid actions that could undermine collective efforts to secure the country.

Abbas stressed that the Armed Forces remain a key institution holding the nation together, adding that their sacrifices must not be wasted.

He also emphasized the need for sustained physical and mental fitness, noting that military readiness must be a continuous practice, not a one-off activity.

According to him, regular physical exercise is essential to maintaining effectiveness in national security operations.

The Naval Chief further noted that civilians show confidence in the military during public interactions, urging personnel to live up to that trust.

He charged the troops to remain disciplined, alert, and professional, reaffirming that the Nigerian Navy must continue to demonstrate strength and reliability in defending the nation.
