‘Heartless Cowards!’ – Tinubu Breaks Silence On Plateau, Kaduna Killings.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the deadly attacks carried out by gunmen in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State, describing them as barbaric and cowardly.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President also denounced the attack in Kahir village, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Tinubu described the killings in Jos and the attack on wedding guests in Kaduna—where some were killed and others abducted—as a grave affront to the nation’s values, assuring Nigerians that the perpetrators would face justice.
“Anyone who operates under the cover of darkness to kill innocent citizens, as seen in Jos and Kahir village, is a heartless coward. By targeting vulnerable communities, their aim is not only to inflict harm but also to provoke reprisals and escalate violence,” he said.
The President directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down those responsible, as well as individuals spreading misinformation capable of heightening tensions. He also cautioned against narratives suggesting the attacks were driven by religious motives.
Tinubu reaffirmed that security agencies are actively addressing the situation and stressed the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and safeguarding lives and property.
He urged communities to comply with evacuation and relocation advisories where necessary and commended the safe return of two victims from the Kaduna incident.
“I urge our security agencies to act more proactively by leveraging early warning intelligence to prevent such attacks. All remaining abductees from Kahir village must be rescued without delay,” he said.
The President also praised Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his response in Jos and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for efforts in rescue operations and containment. He assured both states of federal support, while extending condolences to affected families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
Tinubu added that the government is investing in advanced security equipment to enhance real-time tracking and combat criminal activities across the country.

The controversy began after a man took to social media to criticise the singer for using the title, arguing that a woman in her 40s should not refer to herself as a baddie.
He wrote: “African baddie at 40… this one no serious.”
Reacting to the comment, the singer disclosed that she is 46 years old and expressed confidence in her appearance, financial status and music career.
Tiwa Savage also dismissed the criticism, noting that she was unbothered by the man’s opinion as she prepared to release her new song, African Baddie.
She wrote: “46, fine, paid, unbothered and dropping my super hottttt record ‘African Baddie’ on Friday. What exactly is the problem, boy?😂 #AfricanBaddie.”
In a related development, Tiwa Savage recently reacted after popular TikTok personalities Peller and Jarvis asked her to become the godmother of their unborn child during a livestream.
The request was made during a conversation involving the singer and the social media couple, who are expecting a child together.
Responding, Tiwa Savage said she would have to pray and seek God’s approval before accepting the responsibility.
The singer explained that she believes God should be consulted before making important life decisions, adding that she would want to be certain the request aligns with His will.

The actress made the revelation during an interview with BBC Yoruba, where she explained that she initially believed her dark complexion and slim body were limiting her chances of getting movie roles.
According to Jinadu, she felt pressured to change her physical appearance because she believed the industry favoured light-skinned and chubby actresses.
She said she decided to bleach her skin in the hope of increasing her chances of being cast in movies, adding that the decision initially appeared to yield the desired results.
Jinadu, however, disclosed that the change in her appearance made it difficult for some people to recognise her, while she also began experiencing skin injuries and tears from minor bruises on movie sets.
She said: “I bleached my skin because if you were dark-skinned, then you would not get a role. Also, if you were not chubby but slim, you would not get a role. So, I went ahead, bleached my skin and started expecting to get roles. And indeed, I started getting roles. But people could not recognise me any longer. If I stepped out to buy something, people would go like, ‘You look familiar,’ ‘You look like an actress,’ and all sorts. I was not happy with it, but I kept on pushing.
“Then, I started sustaining injuries and tears from minor bruises on sets and all. It all dawned on me when I got pregnant in 2023. And when you are pregnant, you cannot bleach your skin. When I eventually stopped, people started abusing me and calling me all sorts of names.”
Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has said he is not particularly happy about being declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Imo West Senatorial District by the Federal High Court in Abuja.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The court had ordered the incumbent governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, to stop parading himself as the APC candidate for the Imo West senatorial election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
In his ruling, Justice Obiora Egwuatu held that evidence before the court showed that Okorocha secured the majority of votes cast during the party’s primary election.
The judge consequently directed the APC to recognise Okorocha as the winner of the exercise and forward his name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as its candidate for the Imo West seat in the 2027 general elections.
Reacting to the judgment during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Okorocha said the ruling had cleared up allegations previously made against him.
He explained that his satisfaction with the judgment was not because he had been declared the winner, but because it had corrected what he described as false claims about him.
Okorocha said: “Thousands of Nigerians have called and come to my office to congratulate me. I’m also not happy that I was declared the winner, but my happiness lies in the fact that the misgivings have been corrected.
“If you recall this started in your station, Channels that I was arrested for forgery with documents relating to the Imo West senatorial primaries, but the court has put that to rest today, saying that it’s not true.
“So, if there is anybody at fault, it’s the opponents that forged all the documents, but my problem is that we have not gone so much into investigative journalism and if that has taken place this false rumor won’t have taken place.”
The former governor also maintained that he was never arrested by the Nigeria Police Force, insisting that the court’s decision had helped put the allegation to rest.
He added: “I wasn’t arrested and never was I arrested; this court victory today has put that to rest somehow.”
