Iran fired six ballistic missiles and 29 drones at Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base on Friday, injuring at least 15 American troops, five of them seriously, pushing US casualties in the ongoing conflict past 300.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Initial reports listed 10 injured, with two seriously wounded, but figures were later updated. The base, located about 96 km from Riyadh and operated by the Royal Saudi Air Force with American personnel stationed there, has faced repeated Iranian strikes since the conflict began a month ago. Earlier this week, another attack left 14 US troops injured, while a separate strike damaged American aircraft.

So far, 13 US service members have died in the conflict. Army Sergeant Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, succumbed to wounds from a March 1 attack on Prince Sultan base. Six others died when an Iranian drone hit a civilian port operations center in Kuwait, and another six were killed in a refueling aircraft crash in Iraq unrelated to combat.

US Central Command reported that over 300 American service members have been wounded during the war. Most have returned to duty, while 30 remain sidelined and 10 are seriously injured.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that US objectives can be met without deploying ground troops but noted that President Donald Trump must prepare for multiple contingencies, saying US forces offer “maximum optionality” in response to emerging threats.

Iran has continued retaliatory strikes against Israel and Gulf Arab nations in response to US and Israeli operations, disrupting global air travel, halting oil exports, and driving up fuel prices. The recent attacks followed Trump’s claim that negotiations with Tehran were progressing, with an April 6 deadline set for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz—a claim Tehran denies.

James Jeffrey, former deputy national security adviser, praised the US military for keeping casualties relatively low despite repeated Iranian attacks but warned that Iran’s campaign in the Gulf and its nuclear stockpile remain ongoing threats.

APC Fires Back at Adeleke Over ₦300bn LG Funds Allegation, Blames Governor for Salary Crisis....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to claims by Governor Ademola Adeleke that local government officials under the party diverted about ₦300 billion meant for workers’ salaries.

Adeleke had made the allegation during a stakeholders’ meeting, accusing APC-controlled council officials of hijacking funds and forcing the state government to shoulder salary payments for local government workers, teachers, health staff, and pensioners for over a year.

He insisted he would not abandon workers, blaming the situation for delays in executing some state projects.

But in a statement, APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, dismissed the claims, accusing the governor of misleading the public and shifting blame.

The party alleged that Adeleke was responsible for the salary issues, claiming he refused to release electronic payment vouchers and other financial documents needed for processing payments.

APC also said pension-related records, leave bonuses, cooperative deductions, and other financial data had not been made available despite repeated appeals, insisting that funds were properly accounted for and available for use if approved.

The party urged pensioners and workers to seek clarification, insisting the situation could be resolved if the governor allowed due process to take place.
