Iranian Hackers Break Into FBI Director’s Email, Leak Private Photos.

Hackers believed to be linked to the Iranian government have breached the personal email account of FBI Director Kash Patel, leaking private photos and documents online.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Officials from the United States Department of Justice confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that the compromised account was Patel’s private email and not official FBI systems. The breach exposed personal correspondence and files spanning more than a decade.

The group known as Handala Hack Team claimed responsibility and published the stolen data on its platform. Cybersecurity experts said the leak mainly includes personal materials such as family photos and private business emails from 2010 to 2022.

Analysts noted that the attack did not affect sensitive FBI operations. Independent cybersecurity expert Ron Fabela described the content as largely personal, saying it resembled “ordinary private information” rather than classified data.

The hackers also released images of Patel in informal settings prior to his appointment, along with emails covering travel, business, and personal exchanges.

US intelligence agencies have repeatedly warned of possible cyber retaliation by Iran-linked groups following recent military tensions involving Washington and Israel.

This marks the second known cyber incident involving Patel. In late 2024, he was reportedly targeted in a separate hacking attempt that exposed some of his communications before he assumed office. That wider campaign also affected figures such as Todd Blanche, Lindsey Halligan, and Donald Trump Jr..

The same hacking group is also linked to a recent cyberattack on a US medical device company in Michigan, which disrupted operations. The group claimed the action was in retaliation for a missile strike in Iran.

US authorities allege that the hackers operate under Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, noting that despite efforts to shut down their platforms, they continue to carry out cyberattacks and spread propaganda online.
