“Only the Blind Would Say Tinubu Isn’t Working” – Ogun APC Leader.

A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sagamu Local Government Area, Abdulrasaq Odusote, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, insisting that only the blind cannot see the government’s achievements.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Odusote highlighted the reinstatement of student bursaries and the execution of major federal infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Badagry-Sokoto Expressway, as evidence of a “performing” presidency. He noted that these initiatives reflect a return to the social welfare standards last seen in the 1970s, making opposition claims appear out of touch with reality.

Speaking Wednesday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Sagamu, which brought together Ogo Tuntun for PDA PBAT 2027, Royal Men and Women, and Ogun Women Assembly for Yayi ahead of the 2027 elections, Odusote said:
“In Nigeria today, only the blind cannot see what President Tinubu is doing. In my lifetime, we rarely saw concrete roads—the Sagamu-Benin and Lagos-Ibadan Expressways were the exception. Now we have the Coastal Road, the Badagry-Sokoto Road, and many others. Student bursaries are back, something we last saw in the ’70s. So who says Tinubu is not performing?”

He predicted a landslide victory for President Tinubu and the APC, likening it to the historic 1993 mandate of Chief MKO Abiola, adding that Nigerians would deliver unprecedented support at the polls.

Also speaking, Rev. Olusola Salau, leader of Ogo Tuntun for Dapo Abiodun and Tinubu 2027, said partnerships with other political groups aim to secure Tinubu’s re-election, with Governor Dapo Abiodun winning the Ogun East senatorial ticket and Senator Adeola Olamilekan emerging as governor. He emphasized that voters should evaluate leaders based on tangible performance.

Alhaja Rianat Oshisanwo, convener of Royal Men and Women for Yayi, pledged to deliver Remo for Tinubu, Abiodun, and Olamilekan, mobilizing over 20,000 supporters.

Meanwhile, former Ogun IPAC chairman, Samson Ogunsanya, assured that all political parties remain committed to ensuring a smooth, fair, and credible election.

The House of Representatives is set to advance a bill seeking to establish a Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery in Ifako/Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that the proposed legislation passed its second reading during plenary on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The bill was sponsored by Benjamin Olabinjo, who represents Ifako/Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking in support of the proposal, Olabinjo said hospitals and healthcare facilities across Nigeria urgently needed more qualified nurses and midwives to improve patient care.

He noted that the continued migration of trained healthcare professionals to countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States had placed additional pressure on Nigeria’s already strained healthcare system.

According to the lawmaker, “The bill will increase the number of qualified nurses and midwives available to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country. The migration of trained professionals to the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and other Western countries has further strained Nigeria’s healthcare system.

“Ask any hospital in Nigeria what it needs most, and the answer is almost always the same: more nurses and midwives. Yet we are losing them faster than we are training them. This bill is about training more of them, and training them where they are needed.

“Training close to home means a real career for young people in this constituency and Lagos, without the cost of moving far away to study. We cannot fix our healthcare system without the people who run it day and night. This bill invests in them.”

The proposed college is expected to expand opportunities for nursing and midwifery education while helping to address the shortage of qualified healthcare professionals in the country.

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has vowed to send election riggers, certificate forgers and compromised electoral officials to prison if elected President of Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Obi made the declaration on Wednesday while addressing supporters at an NDC town hall meeting in Nasarawa State.

When asked how the party would respond to attempts to manipulate the 2027 general elections, the former Anambra State governor said the NDC was prepared to confront anyone seeking to rig the polls.

“You didn’t ask about what we are going to do if people rig the election next year. Let me assure you, number one, this coming election, we will rig those who rig it,” he said.

Obi further promised that his administration would work to eliminate electoral fraud by strengthening political parties and improving the country’s electoral process.

He said, “And let me assure you, number two, if I’m elected the President of Nigeria, nobody will rig elections in this country again because the first thing we need to do is to strengthen our parties, strengthen the process.”

The NDC flagbearer also called for stricter requirements for anyone seeking elective office, insisting that candidates must provide clear and verifiable evidence of their primary and secondary education.

“Our laws will be strict. For you to contest election, you must have attended a primary school, you must have attended a secondary school and it will be visible, it will be clear,” he stated.

Obi warned that anyone who falsely claims to have attended school or presents forged academic certificates would face imprisonment.

“If you didn’t attend any of them or forge your certificate, you go to jail,” he added.

He also pledged to hold officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other individuals involved in election administration accountable if they compromised the process.

“Any INEC official, anybody who is involved with elections under my watch that rigs elections will go to jail,” Obi declared.

The former governor stressed that his administration would uphold the rule of law and ensure that no individual, regardless of their position, would be above it.

“Under my watch, Nigeria must be a country that has a law, and both from the number one person to the last person must obey the rule of law. Nobody must be above the law; nobody will behave rascally,” he said.

Obi told supporters that his presidential ambition was driven by a desire to transform the country and build a better future for Nigerians.

“That’s why we are doing what we are doing. We want to change Nigeria. A new Nigeria is possible, and that new Nigeria will be OK,” he added.
