The Emir made the remarks while paying the Hawan Nassarawa traditional Sallah homage to the Governor at the Government House on Sunday. He praised the administration for its scholarship and youth empowerment initiatives, describing them as deserving of recognition.
Muhammadu Sanusi II also noted that his Emirate Council would work closely with Governor Yusuf’s government to improve the lives of Kano residents. He revealed that he has returned to school to study law, aiming to inspire both young people and older adults who wish to resume their education.
Representing the Governor, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Ismaila Jibril, commended the Emir’s unwavering support, calling it “a pillar of strength for this administration.”
He urged citizens to avoid actions that could disrupt peace in Kano State, emphasizing the importance of tolerance, mutual respect, and harmonious coexistence. Parents and guardians were also encouraged to guide youths to remain law-abiding during the Sallah celebrations.
Jibril reassured residents that the government remains committed to protecting lives and property, highlighting ongoing security measures alongside development and critical infrastructure projects for the benefit of the people.
