“Justice Tsoho Allegedly Ignores CCB Invitation Over Asset Declaration Claims”.
The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, reportedly failed to appear before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) on Monday amid allegations of non-declaration of assets. The appearance had been scheduled for March 16, 2026.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Catherine Christopher, Director of Information at the Federal High Court, Justice Tsoho remains committed to cooperating with the bureau. She explained that he requested the appearance be rescheduled to a convenient date within the week to allow him to attend with his legal counsel, Kanu Agabi (SAN), who is currently outside the country for medical reasons.
“In line with his constitutional right to consult and be represented by counsel of his choice, his legal representative, Kanu Godwin Agabi, CON, SAN, is ready to accompany the Chief Judge to the Bureau upon his return to Nigeria,” the statement read.
However, sources familiar with the matter told Sahara Reporters that Justice Tsoho did not attend the CCB after allegedly being advised against it by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. One source said, “The CJ did not go to the CCB on Monday after returning to Nigeria. Wike reportedly told him not to go and assured him the issue would be resolved.”
Justice Tsoho faces allegations of failing to fully declare his assets, including multiple bank accounts. A petition claims he omitted three United Bank for Africa accounts and one Access Bank account in his April 29, 2024, asset declaration. If proven, such omissions would violate Section 15 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.
Under Nigerian law, public officers must declare all assets, liabilities, and bank accounts. Non-compliance may attract penalties including removal from office, forfeiture of undeclared assets, disqualification from holding public office for up to 10 years, or possible imprisonment. Justice Tsoho has denied the allegations, insisting he fully complied with asset declaration requirements.
The controversy intensified following reports that the judge’s wife was allegedly intercepted by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives while travelling to Benue State. Sources claimed she was escorted back to Abuja with $160,000 reportedly in her possession. The circumstances and purpose of the funds remain unclear.
The CCB has yet to publicly disclose full details of the allegations. If a prima facie case is established, the bureau may proceed to file charges before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Emeka Ike Reacts After Losing ₦10 Billion Lawsuit Against Wike’s Aide, INEC.
Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has expressed disappointment after the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed his ₦10 billion fundamental human rights suit against Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
reports that the actor had approached the court seeking ₦10 billion in damages over the alleged publication of his personal data in INEC’s database.
In the suit, Emeka Ike accused Olayinka and INEC of causing him significant hardship and damage through the alleged disclosure. He asked the court to award him compensation and declare their actions illegal and unconstitutional.
However, delivering judgment on Wednesday, Justice Salim Ibrahim of the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the case for lacking merit.
The judge held that the actor had failed to establish his claims against the defendants with credible evidence, ruling in favour of Olayinka and INEC.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the judgment, Emeka Ike questioned the meaning of fundamental human rights, expressing concern that people could suffer alleged violations, online bullying and public embarrassment without obtaining justice.
He said: “It’s even crazy that your right will be violated and the judge will tell you it’s not a fundamental human right. Then what is a fundamental human right? The embarrassment, the bullying online.”

Court Delivers Major Blow To Emeka Ike, Dismisses ₦10bn Suit Against Wike’s Aide, INEC.
The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a ₦10 billion lawsuit filed by Nollywood actor Emeka Ike against Lere Olayinka, an aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
reports that Justice Salim Ibrahim dismissed the suit on Wednesday, ruling that it was not properly filed and that the actor failed to present sufficient evidence to substantiate his claims.
Emeka Ike had instituted the case against Olayinka after the aide allegedly published details of the actor’s voter registration transfer from Imo State to Abuja on his account in May without his consent.
The actor argued that the publication violated his right to privacy and asked the court to award him ₦10 billion in damages.
He also sought an order compelling Olayinka to delete the post and issue a written apology.
However, Olayinka denied any wrongdoing, arguing that the document he shared contained only Ike’s name and passport photograph, which were already publicly available.
INEC also opposed the suit, maintaining that the information was not confidential and that the law permitted the commission to make certain voter registration details accessible to the public.
Olayinka further argued that he did not obtain the information unlawfully and was not responsible for safeguarding Ike’s personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.
The court upheld the objections raised by Olayinka and INEC and dismissed the suit, holding that the actor had failed to prove his allegations.

‘Polygamy Is Not A Sin’ – Yul Edochie Defends Men Having Multiple Wives.
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has weighed in on the ongoing debate over polygamy, insisting that marrying multiple wives is not a sin.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The actor shared his opinion in a post on his Facebook page, where he argued that several great men mentioned in the Bible had multiple wives without attracting God’s condemnation.
Edochie maintained that God had no problem with such men and, in some instances, was even willing to give them more wives.
He further claimed that some men are destined to marry more than one woman but end up having only one wife because they do not fully understand themselves or are afraid of society’s judgement.
According to the actor, such men may eventually struggle in life because they fail to embrace what he believes is their destiny.
He wrote: “Even in the Bible, many great men there had many wives and God never had issues with them. He was even willing to give them more. Today, many men are destined to have many wives but because they don’t know who they are and scared of what society will say they end up having just one and life doesn’t seem to be working for them.”
