Alleged Coup Plot: Suspects Planned To Storm Aso Rock, Capture Tinubu.
Fresh revelations have emerged regarding an alleged coup plot involving suspected conspirators who reportedly planned to storm the Presidential Villa in Abuja and capture President Bola Ahmed Tinubu along with other top government officials in a coordinated military-style operation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Nivo News, findings from ongoing investigations indicate that the plot extended beyond initial fears of assassination attempts, uncovering a broader and more complex plan aimed at seizing control of critical national assets and destabilising Nigeria’s leadership structure.
Sources familiar with the probe disclosed that the alleged conspirators intended to overrun the Presidential Villa and detain both President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. Other high-profile targets reportedly included Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
Investigators revealed that selected officers were assigned to spearhead what was described as a “decapitation unit,” tasked with neutralising the country’s political leadership. The alleged operation also targeted key security figures, including the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and Director-General of the State Security Service, Adeola Ajayi.
Security sources described the plan as highly coordinated, with clearly defined command structures, timelines, and operational targets designed to dismantle both political and security leadership simultaneously.
Further details indicate that multiple units were assigned to secure strategic locations across Abuja. While one group was tasked with attacking the Presidential Villa, another was reportedly assigned to seize the Niger Barracks, a key military formation overlooking the seat of power. Officers were allegedly detailed to eliminate senior military leaders, including the Chief of Defence Staff and other service chiefs.
Additional teams were said to have been designated to capture the Armed Forces Complex in Garki and take control of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to block escape routes and disrupt military coordination.
Investigators also identified several officers allegedly assigned specific roles in the operation. Among them, Officers A.A. Hayatu, D. Yusuf, M.A. Usman, Binuga, and A.A. Yusuf were reportedly tasked with storming the Presidential Villa. Lieutenant Colonel S. Bappah was said to have been assigned to target the Chief of Defence Staff, while Lieutenant Colonel P. Dangnap allegedly had the Chief of Army Staff as his objective. A.A. Dauda and Major Jiddah were reportedly assigned to eliminate the Chief of Air Staff and the Commander of the Guards Brigade, respectively.
The alleged conspiracy is said to involve about 40 suspects, including senior military officers and civilians playing support roles. Among the civilians named are Umoru Zekeri, an electrician at the Presidential Villa; Ali Isah, an ambulance driver; and Nollywood actor Stanley Kingsley Amandi, who was allegedly recruited for propaganda coordination.
Security agencies reportedly recovered a significant cache of weapons, including gun trucks, anti-aircraft systems, RPGs, machine guns, and large quantities of ammunition, alongside several vehicles. A senior source described the discovery as clear evidence of substantial planning and readiness.
The suspects were arrested during a covert joint operation involving the military and the State Security Service. While several remain in custody, others—particularly civilians linked to logistics and financing—are being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the State Security Service.
The Defence Headquarters confirmed that investigations have been concluded and submitted to appropriate authorities, describing the alleged actions as a serious violation of military ethics.
Meanwhile, families of the detained suspects have raised concerns over the handling of the case, alleging prolonged detention without due process. They have called for transparency and a fair hearing, insisting that justice must be served.
With investigations now completed, attention has shifted to possible prosecution, although uncertainty remains over whether the suspects will face an open trial as demanded by their families or closed military proceedings.

“We Will Rig You!”: Peter Obi Issues Explosive Warning To INEC Over Alleged Election Manipulation!.
During a recent visit to Washington, D.C., Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), argued that the prevalence of election rigging in Nigeria is largely due to voters failing to actively defend their ballots. Obi emphasized that while candidates play a role in the process, credible outcomes ultimately depend on citizens remaining at their polling units to ensure votes are counted transparently. He criticized the “transactional” nature of Nigerian politics, suggesting that many voters prioritize other activities over the essential task of monitoring the electoral process. According to Obi, Nigeria’s primary challenge is poor political leadership, and he urged citizens to take collective ownership of their votes to demand the accountable governance required for the country to succeed.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for increased citizen involvement in protecting electoral integrity. Voters must proactively defend their ballots at polling units to ensure transparency and prevent rigging.

Nigeria’s fundamental obstacle is a crisis of political leadership, rather than a lack of natural or human resources.
