Ogun FRSC Hits Motor Parks With Road Safety Drive Ahead Of Eid.
According to reports, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, has intensified its road safety campaign at Panseke Motor Park in Abeokuta ahead of the Sallah celebration. Representing the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, Deputy Corps Commander Samuel Ogundayo emphasized the need for discipline and civility on the roads. He urged drivers to avoid critical offenses that often result in preventable accidents, including speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading of passengers and goods, using mobile phones while driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol or fatigue.
During the outreach, FRSC personnel distributed safety flyers and used megaphones to engage directly with drivers and commuters, ensuring key road safety messages reached the motoring public. Ogundayo stated that the goal of the campaign is to create a safe motoring environment across Ogun State, ensuring that travelers reach their destinations safely to celebrate with their families.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to reducing road traffic accidents through continuous education and strategic community engagement.
