“Lawmaker’s Convoy Ambushed By Thugs, Church Service Chaos Ensues”.
The lawmaker representing Benue North-East Senatorial District, Emmanuel Memga Udende, has revealed that his convoy was attacked by thugs while also disrupting a church service he attended last Sunday at the House of Solution Church of All Nations (HOSCOAN), Kpe Aya, Tsua Community, Mbagbera, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement released by his media aide, Jerry Orgem Iorngaem, Udende explained that before the service concluded, armed thugs stormed the church, destroying canopies and plastic chairs. He alleged that the attackers, believed to be politically motivated, arrived in five buses while chanting partisan songs.
Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Vandeikya Local Government Area, Dennis Terkura Guda, blamed the senator for the security breach during the church service. He criticised Udende for failing to notify local authorities, security agencies, or seek proper security clearance prior to the visit.
Guda stressed that such omissions violated established protocols for official visits by high-profile political figures.
“A public figure of Senator Udende’s stature is expected to formally inform local government authorities, security agencies, and party leadership before such visits, especially when we belong to the same political party. The circumstances surrounding this visit raise serious questions about its motive,” the chairman said.
