“Kwara Governor Tells New APC Executives: Ensure Fair Play In Primaries!”

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the state executives in Ilorin, Governor AbdulRazaq congratulated them on their election and described the APC as “a very big house that accommodates everyone.” He encouraged the party leaders to continue their hard work for the growth of the party.
“Congratulations to all of you once again. Your performance earned you the consensus support to continue,” the governor said.
He added, “Your work is challenging. In the coming months, you will face pressure from party members as the primaries approach, with each aspirant having their own vision for the state. As leaders, do not see any aspirant as an opponent or enemy—they all have much to contribute. Ensure a level playing field in everything you do. Our goal is to leave the state better than we found it.
“Rally behind the Chairman, because his success is your success. If he fails, we all fail. I wish you all the best.”
In response, APC State Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi pledged fairness to all party members.
“We are committed to doing right by everyone, not just a select few,” he said. “Previously, we scored 100 percent for the party, with all council chairmen, councillors, House of Assembly and National Assembly members, as well as the Governor and Deputy Governor, aligned. Our next goal is to widen our margin of victory. Even those who opposed us in past elections are now part of the party.”
Chairman of the Congress Committee, Alibe Alkali, congratulated the newly inaugurated executives for being duly elected according to the party constitution.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Chief Titus Ashaolu, SAN.
