Fintiri’s Defection: It’s Time For Cooperation, Not Contention – APC chieftain, Haske.

Haske described the development as a “new dawn” for the APC in the state and called for cooperation between long-standing members and the new entrants.
He said the governor’s entry represents a major political milestone and “offers an opportunity for broader collaboration in advancing Adamawa State’s developmental agenda.”
“The governor and his team have been warmly welcomed into the party,” Haske added, emphasizing that “this moment calls for maturity, unity, and strategic inclusion for our party in the state.”
He also stressed the importance of acknowledging the efforts of long-standing party stakeholders and aspirants who have diligently built and maintained the APC structure across wards and local governments.
“The dedication of these members forms the backbone of our party and must be considered thoughtfully as we expand. Growth must go hand in hand with fairness. As new members join the APC, it is essential to uphold transparent internal processes, respect existing structures, provide merit-based opportunities, and maintain ongoing stakeholder dialogue.
“Inclusion should complement loyalty, harmonizing experience with new perspectives. We urge all members — both old and new — to embrace calmness, unity, and constructive engagement. This transition should strengthen the party, not strain it. Through balanced integration and mutual respect, the APC in Adamawa can emerge more united, stable, and ready to deliver meaningful progress for the people.
“This is a time for cooperation, not contention; for dialogue, not division; and for collective advancement over individual differences,” the statement concluded, signed by Abdulgaffar Ahmed, Haske’s Publicity Secretary.

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.
The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.
Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.
He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
“You can never see Toluwani in the midst of jobless people. He had a good heart. He was a friend to everybody. He served the Lord with all his heart. Don’t turn Toluwani into Mohbad. That madness on TikTok and Instagram must stop. If you are jobless, go and look for a job,” Gbenjo said.

In the notice issued by their solicitors, Gemgold, the comedians warned members of the public against publishing or circulating allegations they described as false and defamatory against them.
The legal notice maintained that the allegations were baseless and intended to damage the reputations of the two entertainers.
