They Are Idiots – Iyabo Obasanjo Blasts PDP.

Published

on

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has said she has no regrets leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Returning to active politics after 15 years, she joined the ruling APC ahead of the 2027 Ogun State elections.

Speaking on Wednesday on Frontline on Eagle 102.5 FM Ilese Ijebu, she explained that the PDP only reached out to her when it needed her to mobilize support during elections, ignoring her contributions and opinions otherwise.

She said, “My decision was based on who I am and where I feel comfortable. I’m not comfortable in an organization that ignored me. At one point, I was a senator and the only time I got a call from them was just before an election—they only wanted my support. I dropped the phone. Politics isn’t about using people for an end; it’s about caring for them.

“So yes, I will never go back. I just feel the individuals there aren’t people I want to associate with. I think they’re idiots—if elections are about people, how can you win if you don’t involve prominent members of your own party? You can’t.”

She added, “If you can’t care for people in your leadership team, how can you care for ordinary citizens?”
