‘Please Let’s Bury Mohbad’ – Singer Primeboy Calls For Release Of Late Singer’s Corpse.
Nigerian singer Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has made an emotional public plea for the burial of his close friend, the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, nearly three years after his death.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023, and his body has remained in the mortuary since then. He was initially buried on September 13, 2023, but exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy and has not been laid to rest since.
The singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, has maintained that Mohbad’s remains cannot be buried until a DNA test confirms the paternity of Liam, Mohbad’s only child with his wife, Omawunmi.
In a viral video, Primeboy appealed to Mohbad’s family, the public, and the government to allow the singer a proper burial. He said, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, the public, and the government—please, let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
Meanwhile, an Ikorodu High Court has ordered three separate DNA tests to be carried out abroad to determine Liam’s paternity. The directive comes after earlier attempts to conduct the test stalled, delaying resolution between Mohbad’s family and his widow.
In court, Joseph Aloba, accompanied by his lawyer Oladayo Ogungbe, explained that the previous court-approved process could not proceed due to concerns about the testing centre’s suitability. Ogungbe added that new arrangements have been made to prevent further disputes and ensure confidence in the results.

Speaking as a guest on the Afropolitan Show, the mother of four said she has been offered deals throughout her career that could have brought massive financial gains, but accepting them would have meant compromising her principles.
Omotola explained that she often turned down opportunities that conflicted with her beliefs, even when the money was tempting, emphasizing that staying true to herself has brought rewards that money cannot measure.
She said, “If I wanted to be a billionaire, I could have been, because there were situations where no one would have known, and I could have compromised my values. But I said no and walked away, many times. Some of those people are still watching me today.”
The actress also recounted a time she visited a rough area in Mushin, Lagos State, to seek money to pay her brother’s school fees. A colleague in the film industry guided her to meet men known for lending money, taking her through a challenging environment before reaching them.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ezinne Akudo on the show Beyond With Ezinne, the former Big Brother Naija winner revealed that her parents originally named her Blessing. However, she said she later grew uncomfortable with the name because her life experiences did not seem to reflect its meaning.
Phyna explained that her childhood was filled with several challenges. She said she often felt as though she was constantly seeking affection and acceptance from people around her, including family members, friends, and even romantic partners.
According to her, these experiences made her feel that the name Blessing did not align with what she had been through while growing up.
The reality star also spoke about the emotional pain she endured following the death of her sister, describing the loss as a deeply difficult period in her life. She noted that the grief and other personal struggles at the time weighed heavily on her.
Phyna explained that despite the difficulties she faced, she always believed she would eventually succeed. She recalled telling relatives who mistreated or criticised her that one day they would see her on television and recognise her success.
She added that negative comments from people around her often affected her emotionally and even impacted her work. However, she said surviving those experiences strengthened her belief that God has been guiding her through the challenges she has faced.

The 78-year-old actor shared this during an interview on Africa Independent Television, discussing how unreliable electricity affects many Nigerians.
Edochie explained that the high cost stems from relying on multiple sources to meet his household’s energy needs. About ₦10,000 of his daily spending goes to purchasing electricity units from the distribution company, while ₦20,000 is spent on diesel for his generator and another ₦10,000 on petrol for a second generator—bringing his total daily electricity expenses to ₦40,000.
The actor expressed concern over the widespread struggles Nigerians face with power supply. He also criticized political leaders, saying many appear more interested in gaining power than addressing the everyday difficulties of ordinary citizens.
“It disturbs me a big deal. Then I listen to people who are only interested in getting into politics and enjoying power. Nobody seems to be bothered about what’s happening to the common man,” Pete Edochie said.
