According to reports, the singer shared the update in a video on his Instagram page, explaining that the payment was made after he confirmed his participation in the match. He noted that the money was given simply for accepting the fight.

Portable also disclosed that music executive Soso Soberekon and businessman E-Money have each promised him ₦50 million and a car if he emerges victorious against Carter Efe. Confident in his chances, the singer expressed certainty that he would win.

The match was organized following Soberekon’s announcement of a ₦50 million cash prize for the winner, which quickly went viral online.

Portable said, “I have received ₦40 million from the organizers. They paid me just for agreeing to fight Carter Efe. I’m very confident I will defeat him. Soso Soberekon and E-Money also promised ₦50 million each and a car if I win.”
