He made the remarks on Thursday during an event in Abuja.

Adebayo alleged that the current administration has permitted mismanagement to persist over the past two years.

“The biggest mistake in Nigeria today is Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Years of mismanagement have allowed our resources to be misused, but they cannot take away our intelligence or our voice,” he stated.

He argued that the consequences of poor governance are evident in deteriorating public services, pointing to neglected hospitals and claims that foreign contractors extract resources without delivering tangible benefits to local communities.

According to him, government should prioritise the welfare of citizens.

“Government exists for the people. We must safeguard our votes and insist on transparency, including the electronic transmission of election results,” he added.

The National Chairman of the SDP, Professor Abubakar Gombe, also called on residents to vote based on competence, integrity, and leadership capacity during Saturday’s election.

Meanwhile, the party’s Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) candidate, Simon Obinna, emphasised that the city centre belongs to all residents—both indigenes and non-indigenes—stressing that the council should be managed as a shared civic space rooted in fairness, equity, and equal opportunity.

“AMAC is not the private estate of any individual or group,” he said.

Tinubu Signs ₦68.32trn 2026 Budget, Extends 2025 Spending Plan To June.

President Tinubu has given full backing for the implementation of the ₦68.32 trillion 2026 budget after signing the Appropriation Bill passed by the National Assembly into law.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.

The focus, according to the administration, is on infrastructure development, security, and growth-driven investments aimed at improving living standards.
