Media entrepreneur Dele Momodu has revealed fresh details about ongoing efforts to resolve the prolonged rift between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and music star Davido over the custody and welfare of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He disclosed this during a visit to Liberia on February 19, 2026.

Momodu explained that while in the country, several fans reached out to him in person and via messages, urging him to intervene and help restore peace between the former couple. He noted that the appeals came from supporters of both Davido and Sophia, many of whom are concerned about the lingering tension.

According to him, the repeated requests made it necessary to assure the public that quiet steps are already being taken to address the matter. He stated that discussions are ongoing privately and expressed optimism that the dispute would be resolved amicably. He also urged well-wishers to keep everyone involved in their prayers.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Momodu said Davido enjoys immense admiration in Liberia, describing him as being regarded as a music icon in the country. He added that his trip was primarily to commiserate with former Liberian Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor, over the loss of her only child, Charles Philip Neilson Taylor Jr.

He further mentioned receiving numerous messages from fans of Davido and admirers of Sophia, including a fashion designer who urged him to step in and settle the disagreement. Reassuring them, he said there was no cause for alarm, stressing that efforts are ongoing behind the scenes to reach a peaceful resolution.

The disagreement between Davido and Sophia has remained in the public spotlight for some time and previously resulted in a court battle over Imade’s custody, which the singer later withdrew.

Davido had earlier explained that he discontinued the legal process after his late son was dragged into the dispute, a development he found deeply distressing. He maintained that he loves his daughter and believes she will eventually understand the steps he has taken.

Oloyede said many of the issues recorded during the mock exercise were due to poor assessment of centres by some technical officials.

He further stated that incentive packages would be awarded to teams that perform exceptionally, particularly in handling exam materials and submitting timely reports.

Reiterating JAMB’s zero-tolerance stance on malpractice, he warned candidates against bringing prohibited items into examination halls.
