“‘My Oga Did It!’ – Fubara Promises To Complete Wike’s Port Harcourt Ring Road”.
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has pledged to complete the Port Harcourt Ring Road project, which was initiated by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, affirming that the vision behind the project must be realised despite political differences.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During an inspection of the project site, Fubara acknowledged Wike as the originator, referring to him respectfully as “my oga.”
He noted that discussions with contractors indicate steady progress, emphasizing that the key requirements at this stage are sufficient funding and continued government support.
“In our discussions, they assured me that the project can be delivered by October this year. From my assessment, what they need is funding, and I am ready to provide the push,” the governor said.
Fubara expressed confidence that the commitment made to the people of Rivers State would be fulfilled.
“I strongly believe that the promise we made to our people will be kept by October, God willing. This project is very important to me,” he added.
He also recognized the vision behind the initiative, giving credit to Minister Wike for conceiving the Port Harcourt Ring Road.
“My oga, the FCT Minister, conceived this project with a grand vision. He believed that completing this road in record time would bring happiness to the people of Rivers State,” Fubara stated.
The governor stressed that, regardless of past political events, he is personally committed to seeing the project through to completion.
“Whatever happened in the past, it is my wish and my mission to ensure that this vision becomes a reality,” he concluded.
