According to DAILY POST, Peller was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) subsequently ordered his arrest and prosecution for reckless driving.
At the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller exchanged pleasantries with Funke Akindele and credited her with helping secure his release from prison.
Expressing gratitude, he said, “She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who helped my life.”

She reached the milestone after her song “What You Need” debuted at number 93 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, bringing her total entries to seven.
With this achievement, Tems now ties with fellow Nigerian artist Burna Boy and South African group Seether as the African artists with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries, each with seven.
In 2022, Tems made history as the first African artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her collaborative hit with Future and Drake, “Wait For U.”
She is set to break the tie with Burna Boy and Seether soon, as her feature on J. Cole’s “Bunce Road Blues” alongside Future is expected to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 next week.

Speaking on a recent episode of the KAA Truths podcast, the Area Fada crooner slammed some pastors for their silence amid Nigeria’s economic and security challenges, accusing them of colluding with corrupt politicians to exploit the public.
Charly Boy stressed that, despite living in Nigeria, he thinks and behaves differently from most Nigerians and refuses to fall for what he described as the sanctimonious antics of certain pastors.
“All the pastors I know of in Nigeria, 99 percent of them are useless. It is just a business that they are running,” he asserted.
“I may live in Nigeria, but Nigeria does not live in me. I don’t believe like you, I don’t think like you, and I’m not in the same class as you people. I come from a different space and time,” he added.
