The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied reports claiming that the registration period for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) exercise will conclude on Monday, April 7.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The board clarified that the registration process will remain open until an official closing date is declared.

In a statement released on Saturday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board indicated that the registration timeline has been intentionally extended to address ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of submitting fraudulent A-Level results.

“The board is currently looking into cases where candidates attempted to register with fake A-Level results. As a result, no deadline for Direct Entry registration has been established. The registration process continues,” the statement noted.

Benjamin further elaborated that the flexible registration period is part of JAMB’s dedication to ensuring that only qualified candidates are permitted to advance in the admissions process.

The board issued a strong warning to individuals attempting to use fraudulent or dubious qualifications for the 2025 Direct Entry application.

“Candidates with questionable credentials should refrain from participating in the registration procedure, as the board has implemented measures to identify such violations,” Benjamin cautioned.

Additionally, the board advised individuals who previously gained admission using fraudulent results to voluntarily withdraw, highlighting that investigations would extend to these cases as well.

“The board is broadening its inquiries to include those who have been admitted with forged credentials. It would be wise for these individuals to come forward and withdraw voluntarily before facing consequences,” the statement added.

JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining integrity in Nigeria’s higher education admissions process and ensuring that only eligible candidates gain access to tertiary institutions.

The board urged the public to disregard misleading information and to await an official announcement concerning the deadline for Direct Entry registration.
