He specifically referenced a story that accused him of abusing his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam” Olawunmi.

Teddy A made the revelation during an interview on the WithChude Podcast, which aired on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

According to him, the allegation remains the most painful story he has ever read about himself. He recalled that on the day the report surfaced, his wife was at home, pregnant, relaxed, and watching a movie, with nothing out of the ordinary happening.

He said the situation only changed when he began receiving unusual notifications on his phone, which confused him since he had not posted any new content online.

Out of curiosity, he checked social media and was shocked to discover that people were discussing claims that he had beaten his wife, including while she was pregnant.

The allegation, he said, stunned both him and Bambam, who became emotional and repeatedly asked where such a story originated from.

Teddy A stated that he had no idea who started the rumour and was unable to trace its source. He then contacted his manager to seek advice on how to respond.

He was advised not to react publicly and to allow the issue fade away on its own. While he initially agreed and remained silent, he later realised that the decision had long-term consequences for his public image.

He explained that the accusation continued to resurface in comment sections long after the initial report, even under posts unrelated to the matter.

According to him, people repeatedly brought up the allegation on posts featuring him and his wife, questioning their relationship and repeating the same claim.
