In his acceptance speech, Osborne highlighted his priorities, focusing on health, agriculture, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development.

“We will establish cottage agricultural centres and introduce mechanised farming to boost the local agricultural sector,” he said. He also pledged to improve road networks linking farms to markets, promising, “We will construct roads to markets and farmlands using concrete to ensure durability for over 50 years.”

Osborne thanked Governor Francis Nwifuru for nominating him and appreciated his father’s prayers and his siblings’ support during the contest.

Several local leaders and stakeholders have congratulated him, including Mrs. Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Community Development (South East), and Francis Ori, the State Commissioner for Housing.

Upon taking office, the current administration discontinued the fuel subsidy and floated the national currency to address structural economic imbalances. While these sweeping policy changes triggered widespread financial pressures and heightened the cost of living for average citizens, the government maintains that the reforms were essential for long-term fiscal stability.
