APC National Leadership Did Not support Anambra Guber Candidate’s Bid To Unseat Soludo – Ekwunife.

Senator Uche Ekwunife, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Anambra State election, has criticized the party’s national leadership for failing to provide adequate support to its gubernatorial candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, in the effort to unseat Governor Chukwuma Soludo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ekwunife made the remarks during a stakeholders meeting in Awka, which was convened to review the ongoing e-registration process.

The former lawmaker noted that while APC members in Anambra demonstrated unprecedented dedication during the November 8, 2025 governorship election, the national leadership did not match their commitment. She emphasized that even 20 percent of the party’s support would have made a significant difference.

She said: “The level of commitment we witnessed from APC members in Anambra was historic. If the national party had given us even a fraction of that support, we could have achieved much more. We failed our members, our party, and our people.

“Yes, God grants power according to His will, and that includes political power. But the commitment of party members was evident. For the first time, APC members in Anambra were eager to win, but all they needed was recognition and support as members of a ruling party in Nigeria.”

On the ongoing e-registration exercise, Ekwunife urged members to actively participate, explaining that it is not just for headcount but a strategic tool that will determine how the party rewards and empowers its members.

She added, “Some see this as a mere registration, but it is a critical database that identifies the party’s true owners. I also want to affirm that APC has already chosen its candidate for the 2027 presidential election—President Bola Tinubu. We are united in our support for him.

“Having served alongside Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the President’s wife, in the eighth and ninth Senate, I can confidently say that with them, Nigeria is in capable hands.”

Meanwhile, APC’s state chairman, Basil Ejidike, expressed concern over poor participation in the e-registration exercise, revealing that Abuja and Anambra are currently the worst-performing states.

Joe Okekeuche, Anambra State coordinator for e-registration, reported that only 17,488 people have registered so far. He commended Njikoka, Awka South, and Onitsha South LGAs as top performers, rewarding their leaders for their efforts, while Ihiala, Idemili South, and Anambra West were named the lowest-performing areas.

Sam Amadi Makes Fresh Revelation About Uzodinma, Says Governor ‘Cries A Lot’.

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has commented on the disqualification of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Imo West senatorial election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Federal High Court in Abuja had, on Thursday, ruled that Uzodinma was not the valid winner of the APC senatorial primary conducted in May.

The court subsequently directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to replace the governor’s name with that of former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Reacting to the judgment in a post on his Facebook page on Friday, Amadi suggested that Uzodinma might have been treated unfairly.

He questioned the circumstances surrounding the court’s decision, referring to a video showing the governor addressing journalists alongside his wife, with a large crowd of APC members behind them during the primary election.

Amadi argued that although Uzodinma might have been responsible for several controversies, that did not necessarily mean he was guilty of every allegation against him.

He wrote, “Hope Uzodimma may be guilty of many things. But it does not mean he is guilty of everything. It MAY not be true that he is not rightfully the candidate of APC for the Orlu Zone Senate position.

“I saw video and television report of Hope Uzodimma standing with his wife on the line with a sizable crowd behind him.

“The Igbos say that a child that often cries does not make it easy to know when he is beaten. Hope cries a lot. When he is a victim of injustice we may not pay attention.

“Let us see the evidence of Okorocha’s primary election. We are not a court, but we can say, ‘oh probably his crowd is bigger than Hope’s.’”

Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu, has called on Nigerians not to vote for African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar or Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Tinubu-Ojo, who is the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, warned that electing either opposition figure would take the country backwards and undo the progress she believes has been recorded under her father’s administration.

She made the remarks on Thursday during the launch of the Iyaloja General Movement (IGM) for Renewed Hope Initiatives at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, Tinubu-Ojo disclosed that the movement had established structures across the 36 states, local government areas and wards in the country.

She also defended her father’s administration, saying President Tinubu had introduced policies aimed at improving the economy, even though Nigerians were currently experiencing their effects.

While acknowledging that the policies had made life difficult for many citizens, she expressed confidence that the situation would improve over time.

Tinubu-Ojo said the movement was established to mobilise market leaders and educate Nigerians on the choices before them in the next general elections.

She said, “What we are putting together as market leaders is to encourage our people, to sensitise them on the next election, and on which direction they should follow.

“What he is doing right now is like a pregnant woman going through labour. We are labouring now. Almost all Nigerians are feeling what he is doing now. The policies are painful, but the end result will justify the means.”

The camp of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has rejected former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha’s description of the proposed single-term presidency as “a four-year gambling.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Okorocha had praised Obi as a “fantastic gentleman” with a clear mind but cautioned that the Igbo people could not afford to take a risk with a four-year presidential term.

“Obi is a fantastic gentleman, clear in his head. Oh, there’s nothing wrong with him. But we can’t gamble. We can’t do a four-year gamble this time,” he said.

The former governor acknowledged that he had previously supported the idea of a single-term presidency but argued that the prevailing political situation had changed.

Reacting in a statement on Friday, the Director-General of the NDC National Campaign Council, Ibrahim Abdulkarim, said the party appreciated Okorocha’s positive description of Obi but disagreed with his position on the proposed one-term arrangement.

Abdulkarim said a four-year presidency should not be regarded as a gamble, insisting that a sincere leader with a clear vision could achieve significant progress within that period.

He said, “We have reviewed Senator Rochas Okorocha’s comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

“We accept his description of Peter Obi as ‘a fantastic gentleman; clear in his head.’ On the claim that a single term is ‘a four-year gambling,’ we respectfully disagree.”

According to Abdulkarim, four years is sufficient for a committed leader to transform the country if there is a clear plan and genuine determination to deliver results.

He added that Obi was prepared to serve for only one term, with the intention of addressing Nigeria’s challenges rather than gambling with the future of its citizens.
