Ndume commended Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum for his development projects across Gwoza and the state at large, urging residents to remain united and politically active to attract further government interventions.

Addressing security at the Emir’s palace, the senator praised the Nigerian military, the Civilian Joint Task Force, local vigilantes, and residents for their resilience in protecting their communities.

“We will not tolerate anyone acting as an informant. Anyone found wanting will be dealt with decisively. You cannot live among your people and betray them,” Ndume warned.

He also expressed concern over the rising menace of drug abuse and other social vices, revealing that he has engaged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to help identify and apprehend drug peddlers in the area.

Ndume added that he is collaborating with women’s groups to tackle emerging social challenges and encouraged youths to enrol in the Federal College of Education, Gwoza, as well as the School of Nursing and Midwifery. He pledged to support the registration of underprivileged students to ensure they have access to education regardless of financial constraints.
