Choose Peace Or Face Consequences — Fayose Advises Fubara On Wike Rift.

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has cautioned Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to avoid deepening his political standoff with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, urging him to embrace reconciliation rather than prolonged confrontation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Nivo News, Fayose gave the advice on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television, warning that political conflicts often carry serious and lasting consequences if not properly managed.

He stressed that Governor Fubara still has an opportunity to resolve the crisis and prevent further escalation, noting that peace is always less costly than conflict. Fayose advised the Rivers governor to act with caution and wisdom, saying unresolved disputes could spiral beyond control.

The former governor also reminded Fubara that the powers of the Rivers State House of Assembly cannot be undermined or neutralised, regardless of political disagreements. He described the legislature as a vital arm of government whose authority must be respected at all times.

Drawing from his own experience as governor, Fayose recounted how he inherited an opposition-controlled House of Assembly during his first term in Ekiti State and survived politically by carefully managing relationships rather than engaging in open warfare. He explained that political survival often requires a balance of diplomacy, strategy and restraint.
