“Why Promote Obi?” – Adeyanju Criticizes Tinubu Supporters Ahead Of 2027 Elections.
Human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has raised questions about why prominent supporters of President Bola Tinubu are reportedly backing former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi for the 2027 presidential election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Adeyanju, figures such as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose are among those supporting Obi’s candidacy. His comments follow remarks made by Fayose during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, in which Fayose described Peter Obi as “the only life in ADC,” suggesting that other members of the party are politically inactive or ineffective.
Adeyanju argued that the endorsement of Obi by Tinubu’s supporters reflects a clear apprehension toward a potential Northern presidential candidate, particularly former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. He wrote on his social media platform, “Why are all major Tinubu supporters promoting Peter Obi as their man Friday? From Keyamo to Fayose… it appears they want the coalition to present Obi. Their fear of a northern candidate, especially Atiku, is too obvious.”
The activist’s remarks underscore ongoing tensions and strategic maneuvering ahead of the 2027 elections, highlighting divisions within political alliances and concerns over regional influence in the presidential race.

Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Is Indeed Organic – Sambo.
Public affairs analyst Sumner Sambo has described the emerging Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement as a natural and encouraging political development ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made the remarks on Thursday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise News, following the unveiling of a joint support structure for Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Sambo said he was pleased that supporters of both politicians were coming together, stressing that the movement appears to be driven organically from the grassroots rather than by the candidates themselves.
According to him, this kind of alliance reflects a healthy democratic process and should be encouraged.
However, he urged that the movement maintain transparency in its operations, particularly in the area of funding. He noted that with coordinators already appointed across states, zones, and the national level, accountability should be prioritised.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said his recent visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed was aimed at promoting national unity.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Lounge of the Government House in Bauchi, was attended by Igbo elders, ADC senators from the South-East, and other political associates.
Obi said the engagement formed part of broader efforts to strengthen unity in the country and called for collective action toward national renewal, expressing concern about Nigeria’s current challenges.
