Governor Okpebholo described the abduction and murder of the young medical doctor as deeply regrettable and painful but assured that the incident would not weaken the state’s determination to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities. “The kidnap and subsequent death of Dr. Abu Momoh Tapir is unfortunate and deeply regrettable. We extend our condolences to his family. While this incident casts a shadow over our efforts, it does not diminish our resolve to make Edo State safe,” Okpebholo stated.
